Daikin Applied is seeking a Senior Supply Chain Sourcing Program Manager! In this exciting position, you will be responsible for working cross-functionally on projects to: 1) mitigate supply chain risk through multi-sourcing, tier 1/2/3 analysis, and financial viability assessment, 2) lead product compliance & regulatory initiatives 3) facilitate localization and business development projects, 4) benchmark and drive improvements in green procurement & sustainability initiatives within Daikin's supply chain, and 5) identify and drive opportunities to consolidate suppliers and SKUs. Experience in Engineering, Operations, Program Management, and Strategic Sourcing are essential for this position. The successful candidate will be responsible for partnering with strategic sourcing managers and other internal stakeholders to identify improvement opportunities, align to long-term category strategies, and drive ISC and Daikin overall objectives. This position will be based in Plymouth, Minnesota and report to the Senior Director of Strategic Sourcing. This position may require occasional travel to suppliers or Daikin manufacturing facilities. This position will lead a team of analysts to support the accomplishment of the 5 priorities listed above. What you will do:



  • Coordinate and drive ISC Risk Mitigation and compliance projects with sourcing, engineering and quality
  • Develop and implement process / technology to assess supply risk for complex categories at a tier 1/2/3 level
  • Improve our financial and performance risk assessment process with our key suppliers
  • Work with SSMs to drive reduction in number of direct material suppliers
  • Work with SSMs and VAVE team to target key component simplification and standardization projects to rationalize DAA SKUs
  • Support M&A integration and synergy planning projects with new acquisitions
  • Measure and drive improvements in supply base localization
  • Support corporate initiatives to measure and drive improvements in green procurement initiatives within DAA's supply chain
  • Develop detailed spend and category analyses that identify areas of opportunity within the various spend categories
  • Quantify the financial impacts or operational improvements of those opportunities
  • Develop the business case to justify the pursuit of the projects

Minimum Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or Supply Chain Management or similar required
  • 10+ years experience in program management, engineering, supply chain, or related fields
  • Ability to build relationships and influence key stakeholders
  • Project management skills, including a demonstrated ability to develop a project schedule with key milestones, resources, costs, assessment of risk; track progress; and accurately report the status of the project
  • Experience with product and trade compliance, sustainability / Green Procurement, Environmental & Social Governance (ESG), Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
  • Ability to drive cross-functional teams and communicate projects and results to senior-level executives through business reviews
  • Technical fluency including the ability to understand basic Engineering and Manufacturing processes and terminology, as well as the ability to understand basic engineering drawings and technical specifications
  • Demonstrated analytical skills, including the ability to gather data, assess trends, identify gaps, use imperfect data to draw reasonable conclusions, and assemble a set of recommendations supported by numerical facts
  • Ability to benchmark key industry trends and develop best-in-class processes

The typical annual base salary for this position ranges from $113,800 to $188,300 (+20% bonus) in Minnesota. The range displayed represents the pay range for all positions in the job grade which this position falls. Individual base pay will depend on a wide range of factors including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
