Overview
Join the HJF Team! HJF is seeking a Clinical Research Coordinator II to perform clinical research and patient treatment in conjunction with one or more specified clinical research protocols. Supervised by either a Clinical Site Manager or their designee. This position will be in support of the Department of Radiology & Radiological Sciences and the Department of Psychiatry, Center for the Study of Traumatic Stress, at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) in Bethesda, Maryland. This position will support a study to assess the effects to the cardiovascular system in persons with a history of post- traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI). There is strong evidence that PTSD and TBI are related to secondary injuries, but little evidence exists in the population younger than 60 years of age and what the stressors are associated with the PTSD and/or TBI experiences, both from a psychological aspect and a physiological aspect to be assessed with advance brain and cardiac imaging. The work will be performed on the USUHS/Walter Reed National Military Medical Center campus in Bethesda. The Henry M. Jackson Foundation for the Advancement of Military Medicine (HJF) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to advancing military medicine. We serve military, medical, academic and government clients by administering, managing and supporting preeminent scientific programs that benefit members of the armed forces and civilians alike. Since its founding in 1983, HJF has served as a vital link between the military medical community and its federal and private partners.
