Waste Connections is Hiring a Front Load Driver!

Waste Connections has an immediate opening for a Front Load Driverat our Hauling site in Opa Locka, FL. The position will be responsible for driving a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste and transport it to appropriate disposal sites.

Pay Range: $23+/hr. DOE

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safely operate a garbage truck on specified routes to collect solid waste.
  • Utilize electronic route sheets to ensure timely and efficient waste collection.
  • Provide excellent customer service when interacting with customers and the community.
  • Perform a physically demanding job, including lifting, pushing, and pulling heavy loads.
  • Ensure compliance with all traffic laws and safety regulations.

Requirements:

  • Class A or B Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
  • 2+ years minimum commercial driving experience.
  • At least 2 years of stable work history, with your most recent position being a CDL driver
  • Able to lift 50+ pounds
  • Clean driving record for the last 5 years
  • Ability to operate a garbage truck safely and efficiently.
  • Bilingual in English and Spanishpreferred, but not required.
  • Excellent customer service skills.
  • Ability to perform a physically demanding job, including lifting and loading waste.
