The Sr. Manager, Security - Access Management is responsible for leading and managing the Identity and Access Management (IAM) program/team, ensuring secure access to organizational resources, compliance with security policies and industry standards and developing/implementing IAM policies and procedures while fostering a culture of security awareness.
Responsibilities
Lead the Access Management team, providing direction on priority setting, resource allocation, continuous process improvement, technical guidance, and project planning.
- Develop and implement security policies, procedures, and programs.
- Manage budgets, resources, and projects related to security.
- Design, implement, and maintain access control systems (physical and logical).
- Manage user access privileges and ensure compliance with security policies.
- Conduct access reviews and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Experience with Identity and Access Management (IAM) solutions.
- Proficiency with security technologies such as intrusion detection systems.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve security issues.
- Engage with clinical and research leaders, effectively communicating security concepts in business-relevant terms.
- Develop and implement identity and access management policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
- Author and maintain training materials related to identity and access management, and ensure the team stays current with industry developments and trends.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree; Major: Computer Science, Information Systems
- Experience in lieu of required education is acceptable
- Minimum of five progressive years of IT Security experience
- Extensive experience leading projects/processes end to end including resource and vendor management, and communication and collaboration with internal cross-functional teams and external partners preferred

- Proficiency in communication and project administration.
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Familiarity with IAM principles and industry best practices.
- Knowledge of IAM software
- Experience with IBM Verify Governance (SVG), Linux, cloud platform and database management preferred
- Proficiency in using spreadsheet and word processing software like Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
- Familiarity with database concepts and experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server.
- The ability to work effectively both as an individual contributor and within a team.
- Strong prioritization skills and the ability to handle multiple job duties in a fast-paced environment
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to communicate appropriately at all levels of the organization, written and verbal
