What you'll do:

Digital Disbursements (DD) is a fintech company, led by a team with deep industry experience and a strong track record of value creation. We operate in the digital payments space and have a proven product-market fit. We specialize in helping bring B2C payments to the digital age and are poised for significant growth in the months ahead. Digital Disbursements was acquired by Western Alliance Bank (NYSE:WAL) in January 2022 and operates as a wholly owned subsidiary of WAL. The AWS DevOps Release Manager will be reporting to and working directly with the Chief Technology Architect.

The AWS DevOps Release Manager is responsible for ensuring the smooth and coordinated release of software, enhancing operational efficiency, and supporting AWS DevOps initiatives. This role is crucial for maintaining stability, improving developer productivity, and ensuring security and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS DevOps, release management, and production support, with a focus on automating deployment pipelines, implementing robust monitoring systems, and enforcing AWS best practices.

Operational Efficiency & Stability:

  • Ensure smooth and coordinated software releases, minimizing deployment risks and downtime.
  • Automate deployment pipelines to enhance CI/CD processes for faster and more reliable updates.
  • Implement robust monitoring systems in collaboration with AWS Enterprise On-Ramp and company AWS Technical Account Manager to detect and address issues promptly.

Improved Developer Productivity:

  • Offload production support tasks from senior engineers, allowing them to focus on feature development.
  • Streamline troubleshooting by providing clear incident response processes and documentation.

AWS DevOps & Infrastructure Automation:

  • Collaborate with the development team on building infrastructure-as-code to automate the provisioning of AWS environments (existing and New).
  • Support CI/CD workflows by enabling infrastructure as code for rapid and consistent deployments.
  • Ensure multi-account AWS environment management for seamless replication of environments across accounts.
  • Implement automated infrastructure updates and full environment rebuilds with minimal downtime.
  • Build and maintain Amazon RedShift CI/CD workflows to integrate RedShift into release management cycles.

Security & Compliance:

  • Enforce AWS best practices for security, compliance, and infrastructure as code.
  • Manage access controls, logging, and auditing to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Implement disaster recovery and failover strategies to maintain high availability.

Customer Experience & Business Impact:

  • Ensure application reliability and uptime, improving customer satisfaction.
  • Reduce service disruptions by proactively identifying and resolving production bottlenecks.

What you'll need:

  • 7+ years proven experience in AWS DevOps, release management, and production support.
  • Bachelor's degree in related field required.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD processes and tools.
  • Experience with AWS services, including CloudFormation, RedShift, and multi-account management.
  • Proficiency in infrastructure as code (IaC) principles and tools.
  • Strong understanding of AWS security best practices and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and documentation skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
