We are seeking a Water Treatment Operator to ensure the safe, efficient, and compliant operation of our water treatment processes.

Job Overview

As a Water Treatment Operator, you will oversee critical processes within our water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and optimizing operational performance. Your role involves operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting treatment systems to maintain water quality, support production needs, and uphold environmental compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor & Operate Equipment: Operate water treatment systems, including filtration, reverse osmosis, chemical dosing, and sludge management.
  • Process Optimization: Adjust treatment parameters based on water quality testing and system performance to enhance efficiency.
  • Troubleshooting & Diagnostics: Identify and resolve operational issues with pumps, valves, sensors, and other system components.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain compliance with ADEQ (Arizona Department of Environmental Quality) and EPA water quality standards.
  • Sampling & Testing: Conduct routine water quality testing, interpret results, and make process adjustments as needed.
  • Preventative Maintenance: Assist with inspections, maintenance, and repairs to ensure reliable system operation.

  • Technical Skills: Understanding of water treatment processes, SCADA monitoring, and chemical dosing systems.
  • Problem-Solving Ability: Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and resolving equipment/process issues.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to perform precise water quality analysis and maintain accurate records.

Where you'll be working

Once in operation, Resolution Copper has the potential to supply nearly 25% of US copper demand and create several thousand direct and indirect jobs in the Pioneer Mining District of Arizona, with an economic value estimated at several billion dollars over the mine life.

The project will rely on a block caving technique to extract the deposit that lies more than 2,000 meters below the surface. This method uses gravity to remove the ore and is the most viable way to recover the resource.
