The Role: As the Director of Finance, you'll be the financial cornerstone of our assigned ministries, ensuring robust financial health and supporting operational excellence. Based in our dynamic regional finance team, you will partner with senior leaders and managers to achieve productivity, supply chain targets, and support capital projects. Your expertise will be pivotal in shaping financial strategies and driving the success of our ministries.

What You'll Do:



  • Financial Guardian: Oversee the financial performance of assigned ministries, ensuring targets are met and variances are addressed. Produce accurate financial statements reflective of operational and clinical services, including contractual analysis and expense accrual.
  • Strategic Partner: Collaborate with the Service Area Chief Financial Officer, Senior Operational Leaders, and other executives in the financial oversight and strategic planning for assigned ministries. Participate in ministry management meetings and support productivity management.
  • Budget Architect: Assist in the development of ministry budgets and strategic financial plans, working closely with regional finance team members and ministry leaders to perform variance analysis and implement improvement plans.
  • Dashboard Developer: Create and manage dashboards to monitor financial performance and the achievement of internal audit recommendations.
  • Project Leader: Lead special projects as assigned, facilitating capital projects prioritized and approved through regional and system processes.
  • Collaborative Force: Engage with finance team members across the system to share best practices and accomplish system-wide initiatives. Partner with regional leadership to ensure consistent standards of care, employee performance, and financial management processes.


What You'll Bring:



  • Educational Foundation: Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • Professional Credentials: Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred. HFMA or FACHE certification is a plus.
  • Proven Experience: 8+ years in a leadership role or capacity, with a strong background in financial oversight, strategic planning, and project management.
  • Communication Excellence: The ability to communicate clearly, regularly, and effectively with all levels of the organization, fostering an atmosphere of mutual respect, openness, and encouragement.
