Position Summary

The Director, Global Technology will lead and promote the organization's collaboration tools, with a strong focus on optimizing the ecosystem (Microsoft ecosystem, Office 365, SharePoint, Teams Premium, Copilot Office 365, and other GenAI and SaaS solutions). Reporting to the Vice President, Global Technology, this role will work closely with department heads and other leaders to understand their needs, define solutions, and recommend innovative technologies that align with the organization's strategy. This role will provide oversight and guidance to the Global IT Service Desk team and ensure efficient IT support operations across the organization. The Director will also help manage the Global Technology portfolio and promote the effective use of technology.

Position Responsibilities

Collaboration Tools Management

    Lead the administration, optimization, and promotion of Office 365 applications (Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Copilot, Power Platform, Teams Premium) to enhance collaboration and productivity.
  • Oversee the adoption of other tools and ensure training for advanced capabilities such as webinars, enhanced security, and large-scale virtual events (i.e. brown bags).

GenAI and Emerging technologies

  • Support the Vice President of Global Technology to promote the responsible use of Generative AI tools across the organization, ensuring compliance with guidelines and policies.
  • Staying abreast of GenAI evolution, risk become the "go to" resource.

Service Desk & IT Operations

  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the IT Service Desk and broader IT Operations, ensuring high-quality, consistent, reliable, and secure technology services that align with organizational goals.
  • Drive continuous improvement in IT operations by implementing proactive monitoring, automation, and best practices to enhance system reliability, security, employee experience and performance.

Business Relationship Management

  • Support the Vice President, Global Technology to act as a liaison between business units and the global technology team, building strong relationships with departmental leaders.
  • Regularly meet with business stakeholders to collect requirements, understand strategic goals, and recommend technology solutions that support operational and strategic objectives.
  • Provide guidance on the responsible use of technology and ensure alignment with organizational priorities

Technology Governance & Portfolio Management

  • Oversee the Global Technology portfolio, ensuring projects are aligned with business priorities and are delivered on time and within scope.
  • Maintain an up-to-date inventory of technology projects and track progress, outcomes, and alignment with organizational goals.
  • Manage all software governance-related matters, including software procurement, licensing compliance, lifecycle management, and usage policies, ensuring adherence to security, legal, and financial guidelines.
  • Work closely with the investment team and financial stakeholders to understand IT and compliance needs, ensuring technology solutions support risk management, financial reporting, and investment operations

Qualifications

  • Advanced degree and a bachelor's degree in information technology, Business Administration, or a related field; an advanced degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of experience in IT management, with at least 5 years leading IT operations and service delivery in a complex, multi-stakeholder environment.
  • Deep expertise in IT service management, including service desk operations, ITIL frameworks, and technology governance.
  • Proven experience managing collaboration and productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams), ensuring effective adoption and business alignment.
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Generative AI (GenAI) tools and their application in enhancing operations, automation, and business productivity.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead IT initiatives, optimize technology tools, and drive digital transformation efforts, including AI-driven process improvements.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across all levels of the organization.

Travel Requirements

This position may require some travel (<10%).

Compensation and Benefits

  • Salary Range: $120K to $150K
  • The above salary range serves as a general guideline. Accion considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, training, skills, location, current market conditions as well as internal pay alignment.
  • Accion provides a total compensation package, including base salary, discretionary merit-based bonus, and a variety of benefits including health insurance (90% employer funded), life and disability insurance, retirement plans (up to 7.5% employer match), paid holidays and paid time-off for vacation plus personal days as well as sick days.
