Training Manager
Camp Lejeune, NC Summary:
ATS is seeking a highly experienced and mission-focused Senior Training Manager to lead the Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) New Equipment Training (NET) efforts in support of the Program Manager Advanced Amphibious Assault (PM AAA), United States Marine Corps. This position serves as the primary liaison for all training and courseware matters, coordinating with the NET Director to manage and execute the full spectrum of training support operations. Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the single point of contact for all training and courseware development/execution.
- Direct and manage all contractor staffing and task execution under the NET contract.
- Liaise daily with the NET Director and other stakeholders on training operations and requirements.
- Track and verify instructor certifications, to include employment physicals, swim and Underwater Egress Trainer (UET) qualifications.
- Submit written confirmation of instructor readiness no later than 15 calendar days prior to instruction.
- Participate in Government Manpower, Personnel, and Training (MPT) Integrated Product Teams and related working groups.
- Conduct or support formal evaluations of instructors to ensure readiness and lesson delivery competency.
- Maintain awareness of schedule, risk, personnel issues, and cost performance throughout task execution.
- Contribute to the development and maintenance of the Program Management Plan (PMP) and Monthly Status Reports (MSRs) as required by Contract Data Requirements List (CDRLs).
Basic Qualifications:
- U.S. Citizen with an active Secret Security Clearance.
- Proven experience managing training programs, preferably within a DoD or USMC environment.
- Familiarity with amphibious operations, vehicle crew operations, or new equipment fielding programs.
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including coordination of dispersed teams.
- Proficient in planning, organizing, and executing large-scale training or instructional initiatives.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and reporting skills.
- Must meet physical requirements to participate in vehicle mount/dismount, egress, and amphibious training operations while wearing Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Marine Corps Instructor Development Course (IDC) or equivalent.
- Experience with the ACV Family of Vehicles (FoV) or similar combat vehicles.
- Background in Marine Corps or joint service training development and delivery.
- PMP certification or formal project/program management training.

Travel Required: Yes 50% Working Environment: The usual daily work conditions will be in an office environment located at Camp Lejeune, NC. The job requires occasional lifting of computer and other equipment, generally not in excess of 50 lbs., usually in connection with equipment transport to off-site locations for exercise events. This job also requires field time where the instructor will be required to supervise students from the Vehicle Commanders Station of an ACV during field exercises in the land and on water. The Instructor will be required to wear all PPE for extended periods of time when in the field. The exercise support staff typically travels with a high degree of frequency. Travel to training exercise locations regularly includes CONUS, its territories, with occasional international travel. Exercise duty may include extended work periods beyond 12 hours; air travel in excess of 18 hours on a single aircraft; outdoor working conditions; and driving for extended periods to work sites.
