We foster an inclusive culture and are looking for diverse, talented people to join Alcon. As an Equipment Engineer, you will be trusted as a subject matter expert to support Manufacturing operations in Johns Creek, GA. In this role, a typical day will include:

  • Identify, design, and implement improvements to machines and processes related to the overall contact lens production process.
  • Daily troubleshooting and correction of issues related to the support of 24/7 contact lens production process. Provide expert level support and advice to the organization on key processes.
  • Participation on capital projects including management of associated internal/external resources and validations.
  • Coordination with suppliers and quality control on raw materials issues and spare parts issues.
  • Execute protocols and continuous improvement support for production initiatives and prepare documentation related to procedures, training, work instructions, validations, ES, DOE, etc.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING TO ALCON:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent years of directly related experience (or high school +8 yrs; Assoc.+4 yrs)
  • The ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
  • Experience with the development and/or support and improvement of highly automated production equipment
  • Project Management Experience
  • Ability to create specifications and validation protocols for new or modified equipment
  • Ability to read electrical, pneumatic, and mechanical drawings
  • Experience with data analytics using tools such as Tableau, Minitab, SEEQ, and related tools
