Monday - Friday Open to 1st or 2nd shift, overtime as required

Pay Rate: $25+/hour, depending on employment history, training, and experience

SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for preventative maintenance of machinery. Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technician 2 with repairs. Participate in continuing education to further develop the knowledge and skills needed to advance on the career path for this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Assist in repairs using background knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and metal fabricating.
  • Complete maintenance apprenticeship program.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment.
  • Follow appropriate ISO, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI procedures at all times.
  • Recognize and comply with lockout/tagout procedures per company requirements.
  • Wear proper personal protective equipment as required.
  • Operate forklift and aerial lift.
  • Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed in accordance to ISO schedules.
  • Inventory and track all parts for in-house equipment.
  • Work with maintenance technicians to schedule special projects.
  • Assist in developing proactive maintenance plans.
  • Assist in development and monitoring of preventative maintenance plans.
  • Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed.
  • Complete preventative maintenance for: Haas, Mazak, Enshu.
  • Assist with building maintenance.
  • Submit material orders for preventative maintenance to supervisor.
  • Must be able to meet time sensitive repair and maintenance deadlines.
  • Must be able to interact in-person with coworkers and the public.
  • Must be able to handle high stress situations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE



  • High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent
  • 1-3 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and metal fabricating
  • Certified (or able to get certified) to operate forklift and aerial lift.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES



  • Familiar with the use of a computer and applications for email/communication, scheduling, and warehouse/ERP systems


PHYSICAL DEMANDS



  • Remains in a stationary, standing, or walking position for the length of the shift.
  • Lifts, moves, or positions materials weighing up to 50lbs.
