SUMMARY The Maintenance Technician 1 is responsible for preventative maintenance of machinery. Assist Maintenance Supervisor and Maintenance Technician 2 with repairs. Participate in continuing education to further develop the knowledge and skills needed to advance on the career path for this position. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Assist in repairs using background knowledge in mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and metal fabricating.
- Complete maintenance apprenticeship program.
- Assist in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding equipment.
- Follow appropriate ISO, OSHA, NFPA, ANSI procedures at all times.
- Recognize and comply with lockout/tagout procedures per company requirements.
- Wear proper personal protective equipment as required.
- Operate forklift and aerial lift.
- Ensure all preventative maintenance is performed in accordance to ISO schedules.
- Inventory and track all parts for in-house equipment.
- Work with maintenance technicians to schedule special projects.
- Assist in developing proactive maintenance plans.
- Assist in development and monitoring of preventative maintenance plans.
- Maintain a safe work environment by ensuring safety rules and regulations are followed.
- Complete preventative maintenance for: Haas, Mazak, Enshu.
- Assist with building maintenance.
- Submit material orders for preventative maintenance to supervisor.
- Must be able to meet time sensitive repair and maintenance deadlines.
- Must be able to interact in-person with coworkers and the public.
- Must be able to handle high stress situations.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School Diploma, General Education Degree (GED), or equivalent
- 1-3 years of experience with mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and metal fabricating
- Certified (or able to get certified) to operate forklift and aerial lift.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Familiar with the use of a computer and applications for email/communication, scheduling, and warehouse/ERP systems
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Remains in a stationary, standing, or walking position for the length of the shift.
- Lifts, moves, or positions materials weighing up to 50lbs.
