Job Summary

This position helps ensure the Madison site's Quality Control department meets product release timelines and departmental goals. The position manages laboratory data generated internally and externally and ensures it is transcribed into the SAP system. Additional tasks include any laboratory support needed to ensure accurate and on time testing, recording of results and product disposition. The position collaborates with multiple departments to ensure timely result communication and follow up as needed.

Job Description

This position helps ensure the Madison site's Quality Control department meets product release timelines and departmental goals. The position manages laboratory data generated internally and externally and ensures it is transcribed into the SAP system. Additional tasks include any laboratory support needed to ensure accurate and on time testing, recording of results and product disposition. The position collaborates with multiple departments to ensure timely result communication and follow up as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhere to all quality systems including, but not limited to, ISO FSSC 22000 and NSF DS regulations, with an additional understanding of IFF's Quality Policy and procedures.
  • Support the QC team with administrative functions such as lab supply ordering, meeting arrangements, data review and trending, as well as recording of test results into the SAP Quality Management module and .
  • Understand and follow Good Manufacturing Practices for the care, handling, and storage of food and Dietary Supplement products
  • Perform lab tasks as needed, such as counting plates, QA room releases, sample log-in and sample processing.
  • Follow and enforce site safety procedure including all laboratory safety procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Must have associate or higher degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Biology or similar field.
  • Should be familiar with the analyses and tests performed in a Quality Control or laboratory setting or experience in GMP and food manufacturing.
  • Must have the ability to work as an active team member as well as independently.
  • Must have data entry and transcription ability and good communication skills (both verbal and written).
