Duties and Responsibilities |
The Staff Scientist for the Knight Lab:
- Supports research projects by designing and performing lab assays and analysis. Assists PI, Research Staff, and Students with various lab procedures and projects.
- Performs analysis of laboratory data, including statistical analysis and data from flow cytometry. Analysis requires familiarity with basic methods in Microbiology, Biochemistry, Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics.
- Regularly generates reports on data obtained from experiments.
- Organizes, curates, and updates data bases of the acquired information and the corresponding analyses.
- Maintains orderly records.
- Maintains a safe and orderly working environment.
- Ensures compliance with safety regulations.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
