JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Lead Systems Architect, you provide Integration execution leadership for our portfolio of companies. You have a deep understanding of the Visa Family of Companies (VFC) business and its strategic importance to the wider Visa business. You provide technology & process leadership and drive the design & execution of the Operations & Infrastructure Get to Target State program (G2TS). You have a passion for delivering efficiencies leveraging Generative AI technologies to enhance our integration processes and drive innovation.

Responsibilities

  • Applying creative thinking/approach to determine solutions that further Business Goals and align with Technology Strategies.

  • Collaborate with internal IT (Information Technology) teams, external vendors, and service providers to ensure the successful integration of systems, networks, data centers, and other infrastructure components.

  • Collaborate with the M&A (Mergers & Acquisitions) team and key stakeholders to understand business objectives, integration requirements, and technology landscapes of target organizations.

  • End-to-end verification of novel solutions to ensure they meet and exceed business expectations.

  • Identify areas for process improvement, automation, and efficiency gains, leading opportunities for leveraging Generative AI to drive innovation.

  • Identify dependencies for successful execution of Integration (Internal and external)

  • Develop ideas and evaluations where AI can support and drive efficiencies with our integration tasks.

  • Lead the integration approach for each of the Visa Family of Companies (VFCs).

  • Optimizes use of Visa's Platforms & Solutions

  • Participate in ongoing dialogue with internal global technology teams, keeping them informed of progress and representing the VFCs interests and needs with these groups.

  • Partner with extended Visa technology and acquired entity for execution plan for G2TS

  • Assess the technology infrastructure, systems, and operations of the target company to identify potential integration challenges, risks, and opportunities.

  • Develop and maintain architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and design guidelines, to support the integration process.

  • Ensure Integration approaches maintain the highest level of security and reliability.

  • Evaluate and select appropriate technology platforms, tools, and methodologies to support the integration of infrastructure and operations.

  • Leverage Generative AI to analyze and predict potential integration challenges, risks, and opportunities, providing data-driven insights to support decision-making during M&A processes.

  • Execute a comprehensive technology and process architecture strategy, roadmap, and plan for infrastructure and operations activities during M&A.

  • Identifying proper service metrics and measurements for ensuring performance against Service Level Agreements.

  • Lead and oversee the technology and process architecture for infrastructure and operations activities during M&A initiatives.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of integrated technology and process architecture solutions, adjusting as needed.

  • Provide guidance and technical expertise to stakeholders, project teams, and IT staff on technology and process architecture matters.

  • Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in infrastructure and operations, and make recommendations for continuous improvement.

  • Work with extended Visa technology teams & VFC O&I (Operations & Infrastructure) Leads to troubleshoot complex technical issues across a range of technical disciplines (Systems / Network / Storage).

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications

* 10+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or at least 7 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 4 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 13+ years of relevant work experience.

Preferred Qualifications

* 12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor's Degree or 8-10 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 6+ years of work experience with a PhD

* Strong understanding of infrastructure components, including networks, servers, storage, data centers, and cloud technologies.

* Continuous delivery and Dev Ops experience - infrastructure automation, monitoring, logging, auditing and security implementation and practices

* Confidence to create and present future target state and integration approaches, influencing Senior Leadership in both Visa and VFC organizations.

* Experience in regulatory compliance and security standards relevant to infrastructure and operations.

* Analytical mindset with problem-solving skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions.

* Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and deliver results within tight timelines.

* Prior knowledge and experience working with Visa processes & technology.

* Strong analytical skills with excellent problem-solving ability

* Strong verbal and written communications skills, ability to quickly master new systems and/or processes, capacity to stay organized while managing competing priorities.

* Excellent communication and collaboration abilities, with the aptitude to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

* Ability to thoroughly understand complex business and technical issues and influence decision making at all levels of the organization without formal reporting structure authority.

* Proven experience in technology and process architecture, with a focus on M&A activities and infrastructure and operations.

* Experience in troubleshooting complex technical problems across a variety of technologies (Systems / Network / storage)

* Knowledge of IT service management (ITSM) processes, ITIL framework, and industry best practices.

* Strong project management and leadership skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 160,600 to 232,900 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
