Job Summary The Sr. Product Manager is responsible for the strategic planning, development and management of new and existing product portfolios and client servicing experiences. The Sr. Product Manager will be a subject matter in defining the overall business strategy and financial plan, including knowledge of industry trends, production expectations, performance, forecasting, profitability outcomes, and goals for a portfolio of products. The Sr. Product Manager consults with senior business leaders and directs allocated resources to plan, develop, implement, and measure product and sales initiatives to increase overall product portfolio performance while adhering to risk framework. The Sr. Product Manager for Commercial Card technology will leverage transparent communication, reflection and reprioritization to meet program deliverables.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for the strategic design and development of new product portfolios and services that meet a client need
- Responsible for monitoring and reporting out daily, weekly, and monthly acquisition performance trends
- Responsible for understanding market conditions, the regulatory landscape and making recommendations for change as appropriate to internal and external conditions
- Accountable for the compliance and legality of all product portfolio offerings and effectiveness of distribution and delivery
- Consult with business leaders and management to obtain buy-in and input on recommended innovations and product portfolio enhancements
- Accountable for scanning the competitive landscape, keeping a pulse on the competition with noted gaps, strengths, weaknesses and forecasting industry trends
- Accountable for forecasting accuracy, performance measurement and monitoring, and overall client experience and impacts
- Build and manage relationships with vendors and participate in the Vendor RFP process, negotiating and influencing vendor contracts
- Collaborates with Senior Marketing Consultants manage marketing campaigns and capabilities and measures and reports out on results
- Lead business initiatives following a project plan and is responsible for outcomes
- May present business cases and critical business updates to senior leadership
- Partner closely with stakeholders to understand and document robust business requirements
- Work with partners in procurement, technology and product to design solution
- Manage business case development, contracting, due diligence, requirements, workstream creation
- Partner closely with Risk and Compliance partners to make sure initiatives align to Key's moderate Risk profile
- Directly manage initiatives spanning across payment products or introducing net new capabilities through the product development lifecycle and support initiative transitions to product managers. Define requirements for high priority opportunity/gaps
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties, responsibilities and/or activities may change or new ones may be assigned at any time with or without notice
- Complies with all KeyBank policies and procedures, including without limitation, acting professionally at all times, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key's clients and Key.
- May manage a small team of Product Managers and Analysts
Education Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in business or related field and/or equivalent work experience (required)
Experience Qualifications Required
- 5+ years experience in product management or product development
- 5+ years of operations, client resolution and or complaint management
- Exceptional analytical, process management and conceptual skills
- Superior knowledgeable of financial products, e.g. deposit & credit products, investments, etc.
- Exceptional multiple project management leadership skills; experience in organizing, planning and executing large-scale, multi-functional projects from vision through implementation
- Strong ability to express complex concepts in terms that are understandable to the business partners, senior leaders and the sales force
- Superior teamwork and interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with all management levels
- Strong ability to work effectively with support partners and influence a geographically diverse sales team
Preferred
- Previous experience with commercial card product management
- Knowledge of network payment routing, and the ability to optimize routing to improve the client experience and economics
- Experience with flow of funds and payments risk
- Experience evaluating, partnering, and launching a FinTech partnership

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $94,000 to $125,000 annually depending on location and job-related factors such as level of experience. Compensation for this role also includes eligibility for short-term incentive compensation and deferred incentive compensation subject to individual and company performance.
