POSITION SUMMARY:

Assists and executes daily production activities designed to ensure efficient production of quality products consistent with established standards by performing the following duties personally:

Essential Functions (ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES):

To include the following, other duties may be assigned:

  • Maintains operational objectives complementary to corporate policies and goals
  • Performs supervisory role in the medical manufacturing process to established, documented procedures. Directs production employees in their daily functions.
  • Assists Quality Assurance in performing in-process inspection of materials and products during the medical manufacturing process to established, documented procedures. Records results of inspections where necessary and reports any non-conformity to management.
  • Assists Quality Assurance in performing various activities of inspection and compliance on a weekly and monthly basis. Reviews data obtained during quality assurance activities to ensure consistency with company policies and procedures.
  • Works with management to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
  • Keeps management team abreast of significant issues or developments identified during quality assurance activities and actions being taken to improve the situation.
  • Assists technical and administrative workers engaged in manufacturing, production, and quality assurance activities.
  • Maintains a working knowledge of relative company quality assurance documents, instructions, and procedures.
  • Plays an active role in operational and quality teams within the organization.
  • Assists in training personnel.
  • Assists in investigating operational and quality assurance issues, preparing hand written and type written reports.
Qualifications:

Experience

  • two to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in medical device manufacturing
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Education

  • Associates degree (A.A. or A.S) or equivalent experience.
