About This Role Kansas State University and the College of Agriculture seeks a collaborative Student Programs Coordinator. The Student Programs Coordinator provides essential administrative support within the academic student services function. Utilizing a comprehensive understanding of institutional programs, procedures, and policies, this role assists current and prospective students, parents, and faculty with a variety of inquiries and topics. Key responsibilities include managing student records, facilitating prospective student visits, supporting departmental student organizations, and coordinating internship opportunities. Duties/Responsibilities: Apply knowledge of programs, procedures, and policies to provide efficient administrative assistance within the academic student services function, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and efficiently. Manage and maintain student records with a high degree of accuracy and confidentiality. Ensure timely processing of documentation and records in compliance with institutional policies. Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to coordinate internship opportunities for students. Track and maintain records of student internships and co-op placements and assist with related administrative tasks. Respond to inquiries from current and prospective students and parents via phone, email, and in-person interactions. Provide accurate information about academic programs, student services, and campus events. Serve as back-up for prospective student visits when the recruiter is not available. Organize and facilitate customized college tours and visits for prospective students when requested. Provide administrative assistance to faculty in support of departmental student organizations. What You'll Need to Succeed Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant experience. This position may use an educational equivalency as determined relevant by a hiring manager. Preferred Qualifications: * Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal. * Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with student information systems. * Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment. * Demonstrated capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced setting. * Familiarity with enrollment management systems and student information systems (e.g., Banner, PeopleSoft). * Experience handling student records and maintaining confidentiality. * Problem-solving skills and a student-centered approach to service delivery. * Knowledge of FERPA regulations and best practices in academic record management. * A commitment to fostering an inclusive and student-centered environment.
