The Opportunity

Adobe Design is looking for Sr Experience Designer to join our Document Cloud team. You'll be working on products such as Adobe Acrobat, Sign, and Scan (just to name a few) that are ubiquitous in the lives and work of more than 600 million monthly active users and span across a multitude of surfaces and platforms. As the fastest-growing cloud in all of Adobe, you'll be given the opportunity to design the future of documents for the everyday knowledge worker, solopreneur, and individual around the world.

Who you are

You are a strategic and innovative thinker with a strong background in interaction design and user-centered problem-solving. You thrive in iterative, fast-paced environments where you can quickly test, learn, and refine ideas to create impactful solutions. You approach challenges with a bias for action, valuing progress over perfection while maintaining a high standard of quality. Your portfolio demonstrates a mastery of interaction design and system-level thinking, and you're excited to leverage emerging technologies like Generative AI to redefine user experiences. Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive, you excel at turning ambiguity into clarity and delivering meaningful results.

What You'll Do
  • Build Seamless Interactions: Build user experiences that simplify complex workflows and align with product goals, ensuring interactions are intuitive and meaningful.

  • Adopt an Iterative Process: Use an agile, iterative approach to quickly prototype, test, and refine designs based on feedback and user insights, delivering incremental value.

  • Define Design Strategy: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to craft the strategic direction of key design initiatives, aligning user needs with business objectives.

  • Build and Test Prototypes: Create interactive prototypes to validate concepts and explore solutions.

  • Experiment with and integrate new technologies to innovate and expand the boundaries of document experiences.

  • Drive Systems Thinking: Develop scalable design systems and frameworks that enable cohesive and consistent user experiences across platforms.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, and other designers to deliver impactful solutions that balance user needs with technical feasibility.

  • Share your vision and gain alignment by using storytelling, presentations, and prototypes, keeping collaborators informed and engaged.

  • Advocate for the User: Bring to bear research insights, data, and analytics to inform decisions and uncover opportunities that champion the needs of users.

What you need to succeed
  • 6+ Years of Experience: A strong background in product design with a focus on interaction design, systems thinking, and strategic problem-solving.

  • Iterative Approach: Experience working in agile environments, embracing rapid prototyping and feedback loops to refine and improve designs incrementally.

  • Proficiency in Interaction Design: Knowledge in crafting workflows, information architecture, and interaction patterns that improve usability and efficiency.

  • Systems Thinking: A proven ability to build scalable design systems and frameworks that support consistent and cohesive user experiences.

  • Prototyping Expertise: Experience building and iterating on prototypes, from low-fidelity sketches to highly interactive designs, to test and validate ideas.

  • Proactive and adaptable: An approach that excels in fast-paced environments where ambiguity and shifting priorities are common.

  • User-Centered Approach: A passion for understanding user needs and translating insights into actionable design solutions.

  • Strong Communication Skills: Able to explain design decisions, present ideas, and influence collaborators at all levels.

  • Collaboration Skills: A history of working closely with cross-functional teams to deliver user-focused solutions.

The U.S. pay range for this positionis $117,000 -- $227,500 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for the job location during the hiring process.

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
