About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Nutanix Field Engineer to deliver onsite deployment of Nutanix hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI) solutions. This role requires expertise in virtualization, storage, networking, and cloud technologies. As a Nutanix Field Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of Nutanix environments while working directly with clients to ensure seamless deployment and operation.
What You'll Do:
Deployment & Implementation - Plan, install, configure, and deploy Nutanix solutions, including AHV, Prism, AOS, and other Nutanix components. Troubleshooting & Optimization - Perform advanced troubleshooting, manage upgrades/patches, and optimize Nutanix clusters. Cloud & Workload Migrations - Implement hybrid cloud solutions (Nutanix Xi, AWS, Azure), conduct P2V and V2V migrations, and manage cloud connectivity. Networking & Security - Utilize network virtualization (NSX, ACI), configure VLANs, and ensure network security best practices. Automation & Scripting - Leverage PowerShell, Python, and Nutanix Calm Blueprints for infrastructure automation.
What We're Looking For:
3-5+ years of experience in data center engineering, IT infrastructure, or professional services. Hands-on experience deploying Nutanix clusters and HCI solutions. Strong understanding of Nutanix AOS, AHV, Prism, Flow, Files, Volumes, and Objects. Experience working with VMware vSphere (ESXi, vCenter) and/or Microsoft Hyper-V. Deep knowledge of SAN, NAS, object storage, network protocols, and data center infrastructure. Experience supporting enterprise customers and managing professional services engagements. Willingness to travel extensively to customer sites as required.
