The Junior/Software Engineer I - AWS Connect Specialist plays a vital role in Concentra's IT organization by supporting the development of innovative cloud-based contact center solutions. This position is essential for enhancing customer service capabilities, improving operational efficiency, and driving higher customer satisfaction. By working closely with experienced engineers and stakeholders, this role contributes to the overall strategic goals of Concentra by ensuring that our technology solutions are robust, reliable, and aligned with business objectives. The successful execution of projects in this area will lead to improved customer interactions and streamlined processes across the organization.
Responsibilities
Assist in developing AWS Connect-based contact center solutions, ensuring performance and reliability.
- Support integrations between AWS Connect and Lambda, DynamoDB, API Gateway, S3, SNS, SQS, and other AWS services.
- Help create and optimize custom contact flows, real-time analytics, and AI-driven automation to enhance customer experience.
- Work closely with senior engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders to understand technical requirements.
- Participate in code reviews, Agile development processes, and sprint planning.
- Learn and apply security best practices and compliance requirements (PCI-DSS, GDPR, etc.).
- Assist in integrating AWS Connect with CRM systems, third-party APIs, and enterprise applications.
- Support automation of deployments and infrastructure provisioning using Terraform.
- Help monitor AWS Connect performance using CloudWatch, logging tools, and real-time insights.
- Troubleshoot and resolve AWS Connect issues to maintain operational integrity and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
- Education Level: Bachelor's Degree ; Major: Computer Science or Computer Engineering
- AWS Certification preferred
- 2-5 years of experience in software development (internships, projects, or professional experience).
- Familiarity with AWS services, particularly AWS Connect.
- AWS Certifications Preferred
- Experience with Python, Node.js, C#, or Java for backend development.
- Basic understanding of RESTful APIs, cloud computing, and security best practices.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a collaborative team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and grow in cloud-based development and AWS technologies.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to contribute to the overall technology roadmap\
