SUMMARY/OBJECTIVES

The Sr Alternatives Operations Associate is a self-motivated, detail oriented, senior operations role responsible for the management of the alternative and private equity investments operations for Private Capital Management. This position enhances client experience by providing excellent operational expertise to the team and clients, managing projects for client focused requests on alternatives investing. This position will be leading important client and investment operations projects on deadline and collaborating across teams and vendors. The position is responsible for adhering to firm policies and procedures, striving to utilize the firm's digital capabilities whenever possible, and maintain the highest standards of professional ethics and a commitment to client service excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide daily operations management of ongoing and new investments in alternative and private equity investments plus subject matter expertise to the Private Capital Management team. The position will manage additional alternative operations platforms, vendor contacts and communication with clients and internal teams regarding alternative investments.

  • Manage ongoing client investment paperwork creation and processing, as well as monitoring completion.

  • Act as subject matter expert on day-to-day alternatives processes and investment timelines.

  • Manage new alternative investment operational due diligence and onboarding.

  • Manage client or advisor inquiries and communication regarding K-1s, investment updates, call and distribution notices, and purchase/redemption requests.

  • Manage and maintain an excellent operational relationship with vendors and fund companies.

  • Collaborate and lead new initiatives, internal process improvements, training and information sharing, as well as regular communication updates as needed with related teams: portfolio management team, advisors, client service and PCM Investment Committee.

  • Collaborate with other teams and areas to improve overall client service experience and address business needs as directed.

  • Act as point person for alternatives platform technology use and development of best practices.

  • Support Director of Operations or Chief Investment Officer, as needed.

COMPETENCIES

  • Extremely self-motivated with ability to learn quickly

  • Exceptional attention to detail skills

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and manage sensitive information in a secure and professional manner

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word.

  • Alternative or private equity operations or investor relations experience preferred. Proficiency a plus in systems such as Tamarac or other performance management systems or in alternative fund accounting.

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to collaborate across multiple team members and prioritize work loads

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

Qualifications, Education, and Certification Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor's degree preferred

  • Experience: Minimum 4 years

  • Certifications/Specific Knowledge: No certifications needed

TRAINING REQUIREMENTS/CLASSES

Required annual compliance training, New Employee Orientation

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Must be able to effectively access and interpret information on computer screens, documents, reports, and cash denominations, and identify customers. This position requires a large amount of time in front of a computer. This can be done sitting or standing with use of the right desk.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

This position is located in a small cubicle environment that is shared with other team members.

TRAVEL

Travel may be required to come to meetings as needed.

In accordance with Colorado law: Colorado pay for this position is anticipated to be between $63,275.85 - $101,077.41 , actual offers to be determined based on applicant's skills, experience and education.
