Job Description

Responsible for deploying and managing the quality business initiatives by developing, implementing and facilitating the quality system across the manufacturing site to ensure consistency; to assure customer satisfaction by meeting the specific requirements of our customers; and to meet the quality objectives of the organization. This position will be responsible for developing the quality related activities for the manufacturing site and working closely with plant and department managers.

WHAT YOU GET TO DO

  • Act as a safety leader and puts safety first in all responsibilities
  • Awareness of and adherence to all, Corporate & Site, Environmental, Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Leads the development and implementation of the manufacturing site quality systems; coordinating efforts with the corporate quality team and plant quality systems.
  • Responsible for planning the activities related to the long-term quality and process capabilities per our customer's requirements.
  • Identifies and leverages quality best practices throughout the manufacturing site; including the standardization of quality methods across the Amcor Flexibles North America
  • Leader of the manufacturing site Food/Healthcare Safety Team
  • Establish a manufacturing site process for quality best practice analysis to identify areas of opportunity. Works with all areas of the organization to establish action plans to address companywide issues.
  • Responsible for the development and achievement of division-wide quality metrics.
  • Implements the use of advanced statistical techniques to analyze data including process capabilities; SPC, ANOVA, correlations studies, etc.)
  • Ability to teach Quality Staff on usage of: statistical tools, DOE techniques
  • Develops plans and facilitates Root Cause Analysis; Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA) to resolve quality issues, especially as it to customer complaint resolutions.
  • Lead and perform Design of Experiments (DOE) initiatives.
  • Plans the quality activities related to documentation controls.
  • Leader in the quality system audit program and manages internal audit programs as required.
  • Manage supplier audit schedule
  • Responsible for managing the specification system

WHAT WE VALUE

  • Strong statistical background and working knowledge of SPC software
  • Must have working knowledge of FSSC 22000 and ISO 9001.
  • Ability to work cross-functionally with process engineering, operations and product development.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Must be results oriented, multi-tasking and be able to respond to urgent needs and meeting deadlines.
  • Must have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well both independently and as a member of a team
  • Proficient in Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Able to quickly understand database management.
  • Willingness to work unusual hours in emergency situations to address customer needs

  • Bachelors, preferably in a Business related field, or other degrees may be reviewed.
  • 3-5 years of Quality Systems experience

CompensationThe starting salary for this position is expected to be between $62,400 to $78,000; however, base pay offered may vary within the full salary range $62,400 to $93,600 depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Base pay information is based on national averages and a geographic differential may be applied based on work location. Position may also be eligible for Amcor's Management Incentive Plan / Sales Incentive Plan, which is an annual bonus program based on business and individual performance, as well as medical coverage and other health and welfare benefits.
