Job Description

Visa U.S.A. Inc., a Visa Inc. company, needs a Sr. Product Manager (multiple openings) in San Francisco, CA to

  • Define solutions with executable business requirements and user stories, working with Product/Technology/Design/Research partners.
  • Own larger features or services; this includes framing how the features or services ladder up to our broader NA product Innovation strategy, researching feasibility (e.g., legal/risk concerns), assessing pilot and scaling implications product dependencies, and determining core technical and design requirements.
  • Take client requirements or friction points and solution against them.
  • Come up with enhancements that can be built effectively and efficiently to address pain points.
  • Make strong business cases for features/enhancements and debate the rationale, not only for the Innovation team's internal roadmap, but other Visa product roadmaps or client roadmaps.
  • Interact directly with clients and executive leadership to evangelize innovating solutions.
  • Enable sales with compelling presentations that illustrate product benefits, business impact, and customer value.
  • Work with Design and Brand teams for content creation.
  • Drive GTM strategy in partnership with NA Regional teams by identifying prospects, managing the pilot pipeline, and planning for product launches.
  • Support client engagements and solutioning workshops.
  • Oversee product execution all the way through to implementation and end-consumer adoption/usage.
  • Position reports to the San Francisco, California office and may allow for partial telecommuting.
Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, followed by 8 years of progressive post-baccalaureate experience in the job offered or in a product manager-related occupation.
  • Alternatively, employer will accept a Master's degree in Engineering Management, Computer Science, or related field, and 5 years of full-time experience in the job offered or in a product

  • Position requires experience in the following skills:
  • Roadmap planning;
  • Feature and initiative prioritization using product management frameworks;
  • Defining product requirements and technical specifications;
  • Creating business cases and presentations for new initiatives and features;
  • Leveraging tools such as Jira, Figma, Looker, Microsoft office suite;
  • Data analysis, including analyzing product usage data and crafting product insights and feature recommendations;
  • User research and user interviews;
  • Industry and competitive analysis;
  • Program and Product Management;
  • Payments and fintech experience;
  • Engineering management;
  • Vendor management; and
  • Payments Risk management.
Additional Information

Worksite: San Francisco, CA

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Travel Requirements: This position does not require travel.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting. The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is $168,397.00 USD to $254,800.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for an annual bonus and equity.
