Summary Description: The HR Recruitment Lead supports the human resources team in providing comprehensive HR service to managers, staff and employees within the organization. This position is responsible for performing administrative and clerical support for all aspects of human resources; including but not limited to recruitment and employment. This position drives and coordinates all aspects of non-exempt recruiting and internal movements. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in building a pipeline of candidates, employing traditional sourcing strategies and resources as well as developing new creative recruiting ideas, assist with college/local recruiting initiatives and participate in job fairs to seek out qualified candidates. Work directly with local EDD, Chamber of Commerce and local vendors to source candidates for all positions.
- Work independently and make decisions under the guidance of the HRM on hiring and rejecting candidates, know when to escalate for support.
- Handle internal and external job postings, Bidding, Shift Preferences and Interview Notices verifying eligibility of candidates and notifying managers.
- Coordinate and work closely with department in specific recruiting programs such as: internships and Junior Maintenance Tech (JMT) recruitment - JMT Agreement, recruiting events, attending JMT presentations, updating interview structure, and keeping up to date with program.
- Coordinate all internal and external telephone and on-site interviews, work with hiring managers to calendar and host candidates. Conduct initial interviews and screenings.
- Develop and update interview guides, job descriptions, phone screen guides, and recruiting policies under the direction of the HRM.
- Work with the corporate Talent Acquisition team to coordinate and schedule interviews for exempt-level positions.
- Handle application screening, reference checks, background verifications, pre-employment physicals and drug screen processing, WOTC program; offer and regret letters.
- Schedule and facilitate 30/90-day evaluations with new hires, analyze turnover trends, and drive retention through employee engagement and evaluation.
- Assist with corporate recruiting reporting, recruiting trends, 1st year turnover, and department KPIs
- Affirmative Action Plan - assist and drive outreach efforts to ensure a diverse slate of candidates for all open positions and document as appropriate.
- Coordinate E-Verify, I-9 process including work authorizations, and audits.
- Schedule and assist in conducting new hire orientation and process new hire on boarding
- Support and coordinate various activities to assess and improve employee engagement, employee relation activities, recognition programs, events, and referral program .
- Proactively seek ways to improve recruiting processes and labor needs.
- Crosstrain on other HR administrative staff responsibilities and assist with HR process improvement initiatives.
- Assist and coordinate miscellaneous Human Resources related projects and other duties as assigned.
You Have At Least (Required Qualifications):
- 3 years of high volume and fast pace administrative experience
- Excellent computer skills (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Email)
- Ability to handle large work load with high level of speed and accuracy; work independently and multi-task
- Professional demeanor and demonstrated high level of customer service and confidentiality, able to exercise judgment and make decisions
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong clerical, organizational, communication, prioritization, and interpersonal skills
- Consistent timely follow-up and excellent attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor or Associate Degree Preferred in related field ( Business, Human Resources, Admin)
- Previous experience recruiting preferably in the food and beverage industry, broad knowledge of sourcing techniques, telephone and in-person interviewing skills, DDI experience a plus
- Prior experience with Applicant Tracking System (SuccessFactors), Affirmative Action Plan, HRIS, SAP, Kronos and Database preferred
