Other Work/Responsibilities |
A research assistant is needed to complete forest structure measurements and summarization. The assistant will be responsible to assist with planning the logistics of a field season, assist with field work, archive samples and write reports. |
Minimum Experience/Education |
Applicant must have completed a BS in forest ecology, environmental science, and/or something similar; have extensive plant id skills in eastern deciduous forests, and be proficient with
AGOL, FieldMaps, and
SAS or R Programming. |
Department Required Skills |
Applicant should have extensive herbaceous and woody plant identification experience in eastern deciduous forests, be proficient with navigating and entering field data using FieldMaps, and proficient with R programming. Candidate must have a valid driver's license. |
Preferred Years Experience, Skills, Training, Education |
Preferred background includes prior experience writing scientific manuscripts, analyzing forest plant community data, following research protocols and field skills. |
