Job Posting Title: Manager, Accounts Receivable

SUMMARY

The Manager, Accounts Receivable position is a hands-on Manager of the accounts receivable team at Inventory Management Solutions. This position is also responsible for enforcement of the credit policy and managing of credit limits for all clients, globally, collections of past due balances, intercompany receivables and billing, and all treasury functions.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

* Support the Operations Team and Operations Managers to problem solve internal issues, develop efficiencies, and support customer relationships. Maintain internal and external relationships by providing excellent customer service.

* Distribute clear and updated communications with all departments regarding department policies and procedures.

* Report AR and Treasury activities and KPIs to management as appropriate to meet team, departmental and company objectives.

* Meet and exceed metrics established and periodically revised by management.

* Assist in problem-solving, researching root causes and communicating to internal/external business partners to reach resolution.

* Proactively identify areas of improvement with the AR, Treasury, and Finance departments and implement new processes as needed to increase overall department capacity.

* Responsible for managing the end-to-end invoicing and collections process leading up to application of customer payment.

* Ensure timely processing of invoices and application of payments.

* Ensure that all invoices comply with both internal and external audit requirements and local country(ies) legal rulings.

* Hire, train, and develop staff; perform new hire AR orientation for all IMS staff.

* Manage relationship with Atradius and owner of quarterly reporting process.

* Manage credit insurance levels or complete CAFs (credit application form) as needed for all clients, in compliance with DSV credit policies; annual "blue-chip" company credit limit approval.

* Oversee weekly and month-end preparation and distribution of global AR aging report.

* Manage customer master data in ERP including credit limits, insurance limits, DUNS information, etc.

* Support the monthly financial close process, ensuring work is completed in accordance with closing schedule, and as needed, prepare journal entries, and support the preparation of AR account reconciliations.

* Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.

* Utilize good judgment when recommending solutions.

* Comply with company and department process to escalate or resolve questions.

* Prepare and maintain department files with attention to detail and confidentiality.

* Provide backup to the assigned department.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

* Lead a team of 3 Billing and Collections Specialists and 1 Treasury Specialist

MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

* Bachelor's degree from an accredited college in a related discipline or equivalent combination of education and work experience

* Five (5) years or more prior experience in accounting field

* Two (2) years of experience in a lead or supervisory role with leadership responsibilities.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES

Computer Skills

* Proficient in MS Office products - Excel, Word, Outlook - intermediate to advanced level preferred

* Solid knowledge of accounting systems and applications

* Experience with ERP's (SAP, Oracle, etc.) or Inventory Systems (WMS, Purchasing Software)

Language Skills

* English (verbal, reading, writing)

Mathematical Skills

* Intermediate

Other Skills

* Good understanding of established general accounting policies and procedures

* Self-motivated, energetic, and able to perform with minimal supervision

* Effective oral & written communication skills

* Must possess integrity and be able to manage confidential information with the utmost care, security, and discretion

* Accuracy and attention to detail

* Ability to work cooperatively with others within and across functions at all levels of the company

* Must be flexible and able to handle multiple priorities/tasks simultaneously and effectively

For this position, the expected base pay is: $93,500 - $141,000 / Annual. Actual base compensation will be determined based on various factors including job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations.
