Role Description

Form Energy is hiring a Chemical Engineer to make our battery product into a reality via one of the active material components: the electrolyte. This role reports into our Product Electrochemical Performance team. As part of our team, you will work on the at-scale electrolyte system in partnership with the Systems Design and Systems Controls teams. This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and be part of the growth of a fast-moving company with breakthrough technology and an incredible mission!

What you'll do:
  • Contribute to electrolyte cost down roadmap. Drive cross-functionally agreement across Supply Chain and R&D on the top opportunities for cost down.

  • Contribute to electrolyte DFMEA. Collaborate across teams including Reliability, Electrolyte R&D, and Systems Mechanical Design to update DFMEA for new products and address risks.

  • Contribute to electrolyte Systems Requirements to develop key product interfaces/design needs for performance to be met.

  • Champion a culture of safety in our labs and processes

What you'll bring:
  • A bachelors degree in engineering or a relevant field with 3+ years of experience in fluids related work, battery specific experience is a plus

  • Demonstrated experience in laboratory safety when working with hazardous materials

  • Ability to drive progress in a cross functional team setting

  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
