Description

Join our team as a Nuclear Medicine Scheduler/Administrative Assistant, where you will play a vital role in coordinating patient care. Under the supervision of the Clinic Manager, you will be responsible for scheduling Nuclear Medicine and PET/CT procedures for both outpatient and inpatient services at our Westwood and Santa Monica locations.

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment. In addition to scheduling, you will verify insurance coverage, obtain necessary authorizations, and inform patients of their financial responsibilities before their appointments. You will also confirm appointments while providing instructions to ensure a smooth experience for patients. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will work closely with various departments to coordinate essential services such as transport, anesthesia, and EEG, while also partnering with UC departments and external teams to facilitate operations.

Salary Range: $29.42-42.14/hr

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Outlook e-mail, Excel, and basic knowledge of PC applications.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise appropriate decisions with minimum supervision.
  • Strong communication skills to interact with patients and explain the department's policies related to appointment scheduling, billing, collections, and registration.
  • Experience working as part of a team and establishing cooperative working relationships with staff members, management, and the public.
  • Skill in organizing and prioritizing assignments.
  • Knowledge of Care Connect (EPIC) systems preferred
  • Working knowledge of Medi-Cal, HMO's, PPO's, third-party payers, authorizations, eligibility requirements, and regulations preferred.
  • Flexibility to works in different location as needed.
