Medication Aide Wichita Falls 40514BR Position Description This position assists in the overall operation of the Unit Medication Room and distributes clients medications from filled prescriptions. Major/Essential Functions
Applicants will be considered for either a Correctional Medication Aide or Correctional Medication Aide Trainee level position based on education, experience, and skills. Required Qualifications Correctional Medication Aide: Graduation from an accredited high school or GED equivalent and Emergency Medical Technician-Paramedic (EMT-P) with current credential from the Texas Department of State Health Services OR Successful completion of a certified medication aide training course and passage of State exam. Correctional Medication Aide Trainee: HS diploma or GED. As a condition of employment, must successfully complete the Correctional Medication Aide training program, and subsequently pass the certification examination.
