Role and Responsibilities:


As a Mess Attendant, you'll help keep our dining area clean and safe.



  • Work with alongside a team that primarily consists of adults with disabilities and/or disabling conditions.

  • Set up and take down drink stations, making sure they are always stocked.

  • Clean and sanitize dining tables, and keep dessert cases filled.

  • Help set up and serve meals in the serving area.

  • Mop floors to keep them clean and safe.

  • Vacuum carpeted areas regularly.

  • Dust furniture and fixtures to keep the place tidy.

  • Clean and disinfect washroom floors, toilets, and sinks.

  • Keep mirrors clean.

  • Empty trash cans and take garbage outside for disposal.

  • Clean doors and windows to make a good impression.

  • Follow safety rules to keep everyone safe.


Qualifications:



  • Work well with others and be supportive.

  • Be willing to learn new tasks.

  • Follow safety rules and use personal protective equipment (PPE).


Requirements:



  • No experience needed


Physical & Environmental Demands:



  • Ability to stand for long periods and lift or carry heavy items.

  • Frequent bending, reaching, squatting, and manual dexterity required for food preparation.

  • Fast-paced movements and the ability to multitask effectively.

  • Exposure to hot and cold temperatures in kitchen and storage areas.

  • Interaction with cleaning chemicals, with proper safety precautions.

  • Noise from kitchen equipment and customer traffic.

  • Working in close proximity to others in a team environment.

  • Repetitive tasks throughout the workday.

  • Reasonable accommodations can be provided.
