Junior Project Analyst (Sepulveda)

This is a hybrid position based in Culver City, CA, and there is a requirement to be on-site a minimum of two days per week.

The pay range for this role is between $77,583 - $89,220 annually.

Summary

As a Junior Project Analyst, you will play a dual role in analyzing business requirements and coordinating IT projects. This position leverages project management tools (e.g., Monday.com) to plan and track initiatives.

The Junior Project Analyst will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external vendors to gather requirements, drive process improvements, and support system implementations. In addition, you will be responsible for leading short-term and long-term planning efforts and providing strategic insights to inform decision-making across the health system and engage in hands-on IT initiatives and implementation.

Primary Duties



  • Project Delivery & Coordination: Work with internal teams and vendors to ensure timely, on-budget completion of IT projects and system enhancements.
  • Business Requirement Documentation: Translate user needs into clear, actionable specifications for development and testing.
  • Testing & Troubleshooting: Perform system testing, proactively identify issues, and manage resolution with appropriate teams or vendors.
  • Training & Support: Develop training materials, conduct sessions, and provide ongoing support to promote user adoption of systems. Create knowledge base and user documentation.
  • Issue Prioritization: Assess and prioritize enhancements, maintenance requests, and incident resolutions based on business urgency and impact.
  • Communication & Reporting: Provide regular status updates to stakeholders, adjusting timelines and expectations as needed.


Business Analysis & Project Management



  • Collaborate with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to define project scope, gather requirements, and document business needs.
  • Utilize Monday.com to plan, track, and monitor project tasks, ensuring timely delivery and optimal resource allocation.
  • Lead planning sessions and provide strategic analytics to support organizational and departmental decision-making.
  • Perform hands-on tasks related to IT projects.


Application & Systems Management



  • Contribute to the implementation, development, and support of managed care applications and other related information systems.
  • Develop system specifications and create comprehensive test plans based on business requirements.
  • Conduct application testing to ensure functionality aligns with user needs and organizational goals.
  • Provide training sessions and ongoing end-user support to facilitate smooth system adoption and utilization.


Continuous Improvement & Standardization



  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and standardization across the organization.
  • Collaborate with IT management to perform business process reviews, recommending improvements and best practices.
  • Maintain detailed documentation, including change logs and system modifications, ensuring transparency and clarity for all stakeholders.
  • Coordinate cross-departmental efforts to integrate new processes and technologies effectively.


Position Requirements



  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and three years' experience.
  • Knowledge of information technology, healthcare management, or business administration.
  • Experience in information technology and/or managed healthcare, systems analysis, problem solving, and systems implementation experience.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Use independent judgment and initiative based on understanding of business processes and needs.
  • Ability to analyze current state processes/functionality to identify potential improvements to accuracy and efficiency.
  • Interact with and maintain excellent relationships with internal and external contacts to support compliance and high levels of service.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Current California driver's license and a driving record acceptable to the Agency's insurance carrier.
