About the Role

The Business Development Manager, NA Lighting, you will be responsible for generating preference for Martin Lighting product solutions with targeted Lighting Dealers, Lighting Designers, and End-users. The primary mission is to drive demand for Martin Lighting products by establishing, building, and maintaining relationships with key decision makers in this market, to build an ever- growing project/sales pipeline and meet/exceed revenue targets.

What You Will Do

  • Develop strategic relationships with individuals and organizations in the Lighting Industry.

  • Execute Lighting demo events with Lighting Dealers, Lighting Designers, and Lighting end-users that are aligned with our commercial objectives.

  • Responsible for achieving sales and bookings targets and developing business in accordance with the company's business plan for each specific vertical market.

  • Ensure that sales goals and forecasts are consistent with the organization's long-range strategic objective

  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of the existing product range, and identifying market trends and opportunities for new product development as it applies to the specific vertical market

  • Provide input in the specification of new product roadmap by providing the company with an effective market research/market feedback function.

What You Need

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the professional lighting industry.

  • Excellent relationship with key Lighting Dealers and Lighting Designers.

  • Previous job history with Lighting Manufacturer

  • Knowledge of competitive brands.

  • Experience with CRM, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and other industry standard software

  • Strong communication, decision-making, and collaboration skills.

What Is Nice To Have

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience

  • Direct or indirect people leader responsibilities

  • Deep technical knowledge of Entertainment Lighting products.

What Makes You Eligible

  • Be willing to travel up to 50%, domestic travel.

  • Be willing to work in a Harman office or Home Office.

  • Successfully complete a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.

Pay Transparency
$ 113,250 - $ 166,100
Dependent on the position offered, other forms of compensation are also available, such as bonuses or commission.
