The Distribution Operations & Strategy Analyst is a key contributor to the strategic growth agenda at Legal & General America (LGA). Reporting to the Sales Operations & Strategy, VP, the Sales Operations & Strategy Analyst will be responsible for the following:

    Collaborating across business units to achieve operational efficiency with Distribution & Marketing teams
  • Monitoring department budgets and expenses
  • Assisting in the development of strategic initiatives that contribute to APE/VNB growth and other Corporate initiatives
  • Using data and analytics to spot business and industry trends and take actions with a growth mindset, including competitive intelligence functions
  • Align operational and departmental resources to support the growth ambition of LGA, including execution of the Marketing shared services model and project and change management work
Responsibilities
  1. Support the research and development activities of LGA and alignment to future growth plan within Distribution with an eye towards innovation and digitization of the business. This will include working with current and prospective vendors, industry groups such as LISSSG and LIMRA, and developing an industry network of contacts to gather the data needed to understand the market and inform strategic decisions across the company.
  2. Support the Distribution team in attainment of annual sales targets, assisting with the overall needs of account growth strategies. As new opportunities emerge within the marketplace, identify, quantify, and suggest potential approaches proactively and in reaction to inputs from the Distribution, Product, Transformation, and Ops teams.
  3. Develop strategic growth plans as it relates alternative distribution channels, e.g. white label opportunities, P&C strategy, partner-direct distribution, and other market opportunities.
  4. Work with Operations workforce management & relationship management teams to ensure alignment of staffing to meet service level requirements and achieve sales plan. This work will align with Distribution forecasting, market adjustments, and identification of internal and external factors that may impact sales and retention.
  5. Support the Distribution Quality Management (DQM) process and report outs in collaboration with Product & Risk teams, identifying any risk and provide mitigation plans to correct negative trends.
  6. Incorporate key industry trends and macro-economic impacts to sales projections and forecasts that are aligned with LGA's strategy and core business dynamics.
  7. Coordinate Distribution owned 3rd party vendor relationships for invoicing and compliant contract execution and SLA's across relationship managers and Finance.
  8. Manage and track department budgets and expenses including operations, travel and sponsorships, and inform management about any aberrations. Identify budget efficiencies and incorporate action plans to address.
  9. Define and report on the competitive position of LGA products, processes, and platforms with the competitive landscape of BGA, Direct Marketer, FinTech Partnerships and Direct-to-Consumer distribution segments.
  10. Insight-led continuous improvement. Support the Distribution and Marketing Leadership team and work with partners across the business to identify areas of opportunity and continually improve LGA's products, services and customer experience.
  11. Project management support for the Marketing shared services model. Implement and support data collection strategies for resource availability and time to execute inside of Wrike. Analyze data to identify inefficiencies, recommend then execute process and/or resource changes to maximize model output.
  12. Manage cross-functional relationships within the organization (e.g. Distribution, Marketing, BI, IT, Product, Operations, Finance and Legal).
  13. Represent Digital Distribution team in cross-departmental work.
  14. Complete other projects as assigned by management.
Qualifications

Education

Bachelor's Degree (Business, Communications or Other Related Field)

Experience/Knowledge

3+ years of life insurance, or related field, experience

3+ years of experience in reporting software such as Tableau or Power BI

3+ years of supporting B2B2C/B2B/D2C sales and marketing teams

3+ years of industry experience, with at least 1 year in a support role

Understanding of life insurance distribution channels and business models

Proven track record of managing budgets and expenses

Understanding of life insurance underwriting and operational management practices

Proven strategic thinker who is execution-oriented and willing to own projects

Passion for emerging technologies and market disrupting business models

Skills

Effective communication skills, ability to communicate with senior executive audiences

Interpersonal skills to establish relationships within the company, and the industry

Ability to communicate with all levels within the organization

Ability to manage multiple projects with a focus on meeting delivery dates

Proficiency in using analytical tools and able to interpret data

Strong presentation skills

Understanding budgeting and general accounting practices

Ability to manage cross-functional project work and balance multiple deliverables across working groups

What's in it for you?

The expected hiring compensation range for this position is $76,600 - $105,323 annually.

The total compensation package for this position may include other elements, such as a sign-on bonus, long term incentives, and annual bonuses. This role is eligible to participate in the Legal & General America Annual Incentive Plan. The current target payment for the position is 8% of base salary, modified for corporate and individual performance. Bonuses are pro-rated based on start date. This role has 15 vacation days and 10 sick days that are accrued on a bi-weekly basis. Employees also have 9 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.
