What you'll do

We have an exciting opportunity for a Test Technician to join our team in our Duluth, GA office! As a Test Technician, you will showcase your exceptional ability to assemble, test, and troubleshoot satellite antenna systems in our manufacturing assembly area. You'll read mechanical and electronic drawings and schematics, and you'll also work within our high-performance teams in the electronics and aerospace areas. As a hands-on technician, there will be opportunities to apply your skills with multiple types of test equipment!


The day-to-day

  • Interpret mechanical schematics
  • Operate spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, multimeters, etc.
  • Ability to operate environmental chambers
  • Mechanical & electronic assembly skills
  • RF & electronic troubleshooting skills
  • Experience with Oracle ERP system

This role is considered a Safety-Sensitive position and requires participation in Viasat's Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Program. This includes successful completion of any program requirements including a pre-employment drug screening.

What you'll need

  • 3+ years of experience in assembly, test, and electronic troubleshooting
  • Associate's degree in Electronics, a related field or equivalent experience
  • Demonstrated experience with various pieces of test equipment, such as power supply/modems
  • Must have the ability to operate automated test scripts and complete the necessary paperwork
  • Accomplished user of Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications
  • Able to work out of the Duluth, GA office
  • US citizenship is required

Salary range

$19.71 - $30.77 / hourly.
For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $24.28 - $36.3/ hourly
