Technology Finance Director: Embedded Finance Partner with Technology

Summary of the Job:

The Finance Director is a key contributor to the strategic execution and financial deliverables for the Technology Division. The Finance Director acts as a strategic advisor to the Technology Leadership Team, proactively identifying financial opportunities, risks, and efficiencies that drive business performance. This role is responsible for metrics, budgeting, forecasting and costing. As an embedded finance partner, this role will work closely with senior business leaders, executive management, and the FNBO Finance leadership team.

About This Role:

Financial Planning and Analysis

  • Lead the planning process across various time frames (annual, quarterly, monthly) to align performance with strategic and business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Technology Leadership Team to create and adjust financial forecasts.
  • Share with Technology Leadership key insights and create messaging to financial performance and strategic execution.

Decision Support

  • Oversee ServiceNow workflow for funding requests related to investment in new Technology.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to assess the return on investment (ROI) for major technology initiatives. Provide recommendations on optimizing technology spend to maximize value creation.
  • Manage capital funding reporting for Technology Investment Committee

Costing & Charge-Backs

  • Lead benchmarking efforts to compare FNBO's technology spending with industry peers and recommend cost optimization strategies based on best practices.
  • Manage Power BI server instance, publishing new and refreshing existing views
  • Build strong relationships with Technology, Business and Finance executives, influencing data-driven cost decision-making by translating financial insights into business strategies.

IT Financial System Management System Administrator

  • Act as System Administrator for IT Financial tool Nicus
  • Identify opportunities to enhance financial processes through automation, AI-driven analytics, and improved data management practices.
  • Coordinate system upgrades with Vendor

AWS FinOps

  • Participate in cloud financial operations (FinOps) within the Cloud Center of Excellence.
  • Optimize costs and minimize risks related to AWS services.
  • Ensure financial controls and processes within AWS are adequate to allow reporting and planning.

The Ideal Candidate for This Role:

Key Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field
  • 7+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally with exposure to high-tech, data-driven, or complex operational environments.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across business lines, influencing direction and achieving alignment.
  • Strong analytical and consultative skills, with a demonstrated ability to provide insights on stakeholder needs and operational improvements.
  • Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting, with a track record of delivering business analysis that drives results
  • Skilled in managing, organizing and analyzing large volumes of data

Compensation:

Compensation range (base pay): $95,857.00-$162,957.00

This role may have a specific starting pay within this range.

Final compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, and/or skill level.
