ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for overseeing all plant finance and accounting functions including A/R, A/P, Inventory, Fixed Assets, and General Ledger
  • Ability to coach, develop, and manage a team of approx. 3 direct reports
  • Identifies EBIT and margin improvement opportunities
  • Manages the monthly close, and aids in monthly forecast, and annual budget.
  • Performs monthly financial reports and explains results in detail
  • Performs ongoing review of internal controls to ensure accounting procedures and financial reports are in compliance with US GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and Silgan internal accounting policies.
  • Demonstrated ability to streamline processes through documentation, training, and technology
  • Serves as backup for A/R, A/P and Plant Controller when necessary.
  • Supports internal and external audits

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • CPA, CMA, or MBA preferred.
  • 6+ years of experience in manufacturing, accounting, or supervisory roles preferred.
  • Previous experience demonstrating leadership of projects
  • Advanced proficiency and experience with Microsoft Excel and related financial systems.
  • Experience with SAGE (or other modern ERP systems), Planful Analytics or Business Intelligence software preferred
  • Excellent communication skills including: written, verbal, and interpersonal
  • Ability to communicate complex topics in an effective and concise manner
  • Process-driven with proven analytic and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to see the "big picture" while maintaining a strong attention to detail

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Frequently required to sit and walk.
  • Occasionally required to walk up and down stairs.
  • Frequently required to talk and hear.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds (12 kg).
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds (23 kg).
  • Vision ability including close vision, distance vision, color vision, and the ability to adjust focus

Pay Range: $90,000 - $100,000
