Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Representative to drive growth, enhance brand visibility, and strengthen relationships within local communities. This role is responsible for developing marketing collateral, creating compelling pitch decks, coordinating and attending community events, managing CRM updates, and supporting business development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development



  • Plans and executes activities and strategic initiatives related to Medica's growth and expansion
  • Assists market leader in ongoing meeting planning, facilitation, and tracking of key action items
  • Supports ongoing cadence and agenda with health system partner growth teams
  • Maintain and update customer and prospect data in the CRM system to ensure accurate tracking of leads and engagement efforts.
  • Monitor business development metrics and generate reports to support strategic decision-making.


Sales Support



  • Work closely with the sales and marketing teams to align efforts and maximize outreach effectiveness.
  • Create and maintain persuasive pitch decks tailored to various audiences, including brokers, healthcare providers, and community organizations.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding across all materials.
  • Coordinate with internal partners to escalate and resolve issues customer and partner issues


Event Planning & Community Engagement



  • Plan, coordinate, and execute local events to promote Medica Health Plans and engage with community stakeholders.
  • Represent the company at industry conferences, health fairs, and networking events to build relationships and drive brand awareness.
  • Identify partnership opportunities with community organizations and local businesses to expand Medica's outreach.


Qualifications & Skills



  • Education: Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, communications, or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Experience: 5+ years in business development, sales, marketing, or a related role, preferably within healthcare or insurance.
  • Strong presentation and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in creating marketing collateral and pitch decks (experience with PowerPoint, Canva, or similar tools).
  • Event planning and coordination experience.
  • CRM management experience (Salesforce or similar platforms preferred).
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with diverse community stakeholders.
  • Other: Ability to travel locally for events and meetings as needed.


This position is a Hub role, which requires an employee to occasionally come onsite to the designated office - St. Louis, MO - for applicable heads-up work. Frequency is determined by business need as decided by leadership.

The full salary range for this position is $87,100 - $149,300. Annual salary range placement will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, education, work experience, applicable certifications and/or licensure, the position's scope and responsibility, internal pay equity and external market salary data.
