JOB SUMMARY |
The Master Scheduler for Service operations is responsible for overseeing and managing the scheduling, coordination, and optimization of service-related activities within the field service organization. This role is essential to ensuring that field service operations are scheduled efficiently, meet customer expectations, align with finance and planning objectives, and contribute to the overall success of the organization. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in managing complex schedules and effectively coordinating resources. |
PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES |
- Align Master Schedule plan based on CCR (Capacity Constraint Resources) loading and operations synchronization for customer commitments, ensuring alignment with the regional service mix.
- Recommends work and manpower assignments to Field Service Managers and Planners as dictated by the schedule, coordinating interdepartmental personnel moves to meet schedule demands.
- Provide visual Master Schedule plan for service regions, observing operation schemes, cycle times, and loading rules.
- Ensure visibility for service slots and lead-times by establishing families (Installations, LCM, and Warranty), securing alignment between planning, commercial, materials, and operations teams.
- Coordinate regional Obeya meetings during the JTP process to proactively identify and anticipate risks, enabling the development of alternative strategies to mitigate potential operational impacts.
- Promote and facilitate internal collaboration regarding the transformer shipment's 3-Month outlook plan with plants, ensuring customer expectations for installation jobs are met.
- Facilitate support and provide data to prepare all sales forecasts and ensure alignment between financial and operational goals, providing updates and remediation when actual performance deviates from the plan.
- Review plans or schedules of workload in the initial capacity stage, responding proactively to periods where workload exceeds available capacity.
- Level workload with capacity by adjusting schedules, utilizing cross-trained employees, recommending overtime, reviewing customer needs with Sales, or recommending outsourcing.
- Manage ERP system parameters for capacity, resources, work centers, and operations calendar using SAP software.
- Convert weekly operations schedules into a finite plan for each region.

- Excellent written, verbal communication, and analytical skills, with the ability to manage data, project timelines, and delivery schedules to make informed scheduling decisions.
- Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet established deadlines while managing multiple projects concurrently.
- Strong business acumen, with a keen understanding of sales, revenue, and operational targets, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and cost-effective scheduling.
- Ability to work in a team environment, teaching and coaching others on planning techniques and software to improve operational efficiency.
- Proficient in scheduling software and ERP systems, with the ability to work effectively under pressure to ensure smooth operations and meet deadlines.
- Self-motivated, with a focus on achieving business and operational goals.

Required Education / Experience
- Associate's degree in a related field.
- 1-3 years of experience in scheduling, operations planning, or service operations, ideally within a service-oriented industry.
Preferred Education / Experience
- Bachelor's degree in related field.
- Knowledge of Power Transformer Field Service operations or substation services
- SAP experience with a high level of proficiency
