THE JOB:

The Director of Facilities is responsible for overseeing all operations within the department, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals, budgetary guidelines, and service standards. This role focuses on maintaining operational excellence, optimizing facility performance, and upholding the organization's mission and core values.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

  • Provide strategic leadership in managing financial budgets, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving both short-term and long-term profitability.

  • Oversee day-to-day facility operations, optimizing efficiency, safety, and compliance with all city, state, and federal regulations.

  • Develop, implement, and monitor standard operating procedures to enhance operational effectiveness and cost control.

  • Lead and direct technical trade teams, including engineers, electricians, carpenters, painters, laborers, maintenance staff, gardeners, and safety system operators, ensuring service excellence.

  • Continuously evaluate operational budgets and staffing plans, overseeing recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of personnel and service providers.

  • Manage purchasing and inventory control for consumables, tools, and equipment, ensuring cost efficiency and resource optimization.

  • Provide expert guidance in resolving maintenance, facility, and landscaping challenges while upholding the company's core service standards and brand attributes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • The ideal candidate holds a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience.

  • Has 4+ years of managerial experience or related technical education.

  • They have a strong background in facilities and maintenance within a resort setting and have previously held a senior management role overseeing large teams in an arena facility operation.

  • Expertise in managing union environments is essential, along with in-depth knowledge of all technical trades, including engineers, electricians, carpenters, painters, laborers, maintenance warehouse, gardeners, and drivers.

  • A deep understanding of facilities maintenance, operations, and industry best practices is required to ensure efficient and safe property management.
