The Senior Quality Coordinator conducts tactical activities concerned with development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products. The Sr. Quality Coordinator supervises key operators to ensure high level of quality product internally and externally.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • *Ensure that material in the nonconforming material system (NCMR) is segregated and dispositions are obtained in a timely manner.

  • *Monitor and drive improvement in quality metrics including Cost of Quality (COQ), First Pass Yield (FPY), efficiency, and responsiveness.

  • *Supervise and utilize key operators to execute activities aimed at improving cost of poor quality.

  • *Review customer complaints for assigned areas and determine appropriate actions to remedy, including, assigning corrective actions to reduce the frequency of occurrence.

  • *Perform product, process and assigned internal audits, and ensure that corrective actions are effective and implemented in a timely manner.

  • *Collaborate with assigned production departments to resolve issues affecting quality using appropriate quality tools or methodology (8D, Six Sigma, Lean, Data Systems etc).

  • Attend appropriate Quality and Production meetings, identifies gages/calibration needs and develops test procedures, work instructions, forms and records needed.

  • Collaborate with Quality, Design and Manufacturing Engineers to develop quality requirements for new products and improve quality controls and systems for existing products.

  • Maintain the integrity of the Quality Management System, including the ISO compliance structure, ensuring proper documentation processes, and audit effectiveness.

  • Other related duties and projects as requested.

* Essential duties and responsibilities

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE

  • Associate degree or higher from an accredited institution.

  • Three (3+) plus years related experience working in the Quality function in an ISO/TS/QS manufacturing environment.

  • Experience in supervision is a plus.

  • ASQ (CQT), Six Sigma (GB), Auditor and/or Lean Manufacturing certifications or training is beneficial.

  • Strong structured problem-solving skills using 8-step, DMAIC or 8D.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office products, Minitab and Epicor.
