Your Role on Our Team The Director of Product Safety will oversee pre-sale product safety functions for Milwaukee Tool's product development process. This position would be U.S.-based with occasional travel to one of our locations globally, including (but not limited to) PRC, Vietnam, or Mexico. You will drive operational excellence, implement world-class product safety strategies, and build high-performing teams that support Milwaukee Tool's ambitious growth. You'll be DISRUPTIVE through these duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a product safety strategy that delivers best-in-class product safety and regulatory compliance.
- Establish product safety analysis strategies and procedures to support global business growth and customer requirements effectively and efficiently.
- Build and maintain a safety culture rooted in Milwaukee Tool's core values, fostering open communication, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement by identifying and addressing gaps in processes, systems, and technologies.
- Collaborate with New Product Development teams to ensure seamless integration of product safety and regulatory compliance for global product launches.
- Lead the development and mentoring of high-energy, talented product safety teams.
- Monitor, analyze, and report product safety performance.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams, including engineering and product management, to ensure alignment with business objectives.

The TOOLS you'll bring with you:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, or a related technical field.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of progressive management experience in product safety and regulatory compliance, preferably related to power tools, battery-operated products, or appliances, including exposure to global compliance requirements.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment techniques (e.g fault tree analysis, hazard analysis), global regulatory compliance (e.g. IEC based standards), and continuous improvement strategies.
- Strong verbal, written and organizational skills essential to professional communication.
- Strong business judgment with the ability to prioritize and articulate high-impact initiatives.
- Show an emphasis on and adherence to schedule and attention to detail.
Other TOOLS we prefer you to have:
- Familiar with OSHA General Industry and Construction regulations.
- Ability to travel both domestically and internationally, as necessary.
- High interest in Power Tools and tools of the trade.
