Safety & Health Coordinator

As one of the largest suppliers of buns, rolls, and bread products in the U.S., we proudly serve major restaurants, cafeterias, grocery stores, hospitals, and universities. Our retail brands, including Blue Ribbon, Old Tyme, Sunbeam, and 647, are some household staples across the Northeast.

We are seeking a Safety & Health Coordinator to champion workplace safety across our 10 bakeries and multiple distribution centers along the East Coast. This role is crucial in building a proactive safety culture, ensuring compliance, and reducing risk across all our facilities.

What You'll Do:


  • Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, play a key support role in the development implementation and enforcement of health & safety policies across all locations
  • Be a visible hands-on presence in our bakeries and work directly with front line staff to see the environment of safety from their perspective. Advocate for a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Support and participate in the development of light duty and return to work programs designed to support a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Ensure OSHA compliance, reporting, and risk management initiatives are top tier
  • Conduct safety training, audits, and accident prevention programs to minimize risk
  • Lead investigations, root-cause analysis, and ergonomic improvements
  • Partner with leadership to build a safety-first culture that protects our people and products

Physical Requirements & Work Environment:


  • Active, hands-on role in both office and plant settings
  • Frequent movement required-must be able to walk, reach, bend, stoop, climb, push, and pull throughout manufacturing facilities
  • Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time in a production environment
  • Exposure to manufacturing environments including noise, dust, odors, fumes, and hot temperatures
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs
  • Overnight travel required (approximately 25%), averaging 1.5 to 3 days per week

What You Bring:


  • Bachelor's degree in health & safety, Safety Engineering, or related field
  • Five or more years of safety leadership experience in an industrial environment
  • Deep knowledge of OSHA regulations, risk assessments, and compliance reporting
  • Strong ability to develop training programs and drive safety engagement
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills to influence at all levels
