Summary:

Full time position working for Rhode Island Hospital (*RIH*) providing services at RIH 593 Eddy Street Providence RI; The Miriam Hospital 164 Summit Avenue Providence RI; Newport Hospital 20 Powel Avenue Newport RI; Bradley Hospital 1011 Veterans Memorial Parkway East Providence RI; Lifespan Specialty Pharmacy 117 Chapman Street Providence RI; and remotely at 307 Greenwich Avenue Apt. E223 Warwick RI.

Responsibilities:
Responsibilities include Reporting to the Team Lead Pharmacy Business Operations and Clinical Intelligence is intricately involved in running analytical experiments and solution development in a methodical and efficient manner to support all areas of pharmacy services (i.e. clinical operational safety quality financial regulatory accreditation supply chain retail academia).Develops explanatory and predictive models utilizing modern methods. Regularly evaluates existing analytics and is familiar with various theoretical approaches to both producing new information and explaining reality by utilizing data storytelling. Serves as backup and support to the Systems and Analytics Specialists on the team as needed. Utilize technical analytical statistical and applied math skills to support all areas of pharmacy services (i.e. clinical operational safety quality financial regulatory accreditation supply chain retail academia).Extract knowledge from data to drive action. Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis. Design build and troubleshoot data Extract Transfer Load (ETL) processes. Design build and troubleshoot highly functional data visualizations utilizing Microsoft Power BI or similar tools. Collaborate with pharmacy clinical and operational staff to understand health system needs and devise possible solutions. Keep up to date with the latest technology trends. Share successes with other healthcare organization through journal publication and presentations. Collaborate in the design on business processes to allow for appropriate and efficient data collection. Participate in pharmacy quality improvement. Support and take part in pharmacy research initiatives. Work jointly with stakeholders throughout the healthcare organization. Serve as backup and support for Systems and Analytics Specialists. Takes part in and completes technological project work and solution development. Maintains and troubleshoots internal webpages both interactive and static. Maintains and troubleshoots Microsoft Excel Microsoft Access and Filemaker solutions. Build maintain and troubleshoot basic reports from a variety of data sources. Design and/or implement solutions to security vulnerabilities and concert with Lifespan information systems security. Responsible for weekly rotating on call coverage.

Minimum Requirements:

Master*s Degree in Computer Science with concentration in Data Analytics or a Bachelor*s Degree in Computer Science and two years* work experience in a data analytics and programming position involving preparation of advanced SQL statements including subqueries aggregations and query optimization. Prior work experience must have included development of programming code used in at least two projects utilized in a production business environment completion of at least two data mining and statistical analysis projects in a business environment (alternatively can document through academic coursework) explanation of at least two complex data or coding projects to coworkers who did not take part in the projects and did not have coding or data analysis skills transforming data from one data structure to another in a business environment (alternatively can document through academic coursework) trained at least 2 predictive analytics models and identified patterns in how the models predict in a business environment (alternatively can document through academic coursework) and use of statistical programming languages Python or R in a business environment (alternatively can document through academic coursework).

Salary for this position is $93558.40 per year.
