Position Overview

The Compliance Analyst plays a key role in strengthening the organization's compliance framework by supporting the development of policies, assisting in the implementation of controls, and fostering a culture of accountability. This role ensures compliance with both regulatory requirements and internal standards through risk assessments, monitoring, training, and advisory support. By identifying process improvements, the Compliance Analyst helps prevent non-compliant activities and contributes to the sustainability of business operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Federal Trade Commission Order Compliance & Process Optimization: Drive ongoing improvements in processes, policies, and organizational culture to maintain full compliance with the 2021 FTC order. Actively manage and refine the compliance control framework.
  • Compliance Strategy & Framework: Design and implement compliance policies, procedures, and controls that are specifically tailored to meet regulatory requirements and align with internal business standards, ensuring adaptability to regulatory changes and evolving business needs.
  • Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify and evaluate compliance risks, with a focus on FCRA requirements. Proactively monitor emerging trends and potential vulnerabilities, implementing strategies to mitigate risks before they escalate.
  • Monitoring & Testing: Execute continuous compliance audits and assessments to measure the effectiveness of established controls. Identify gaps, evaluate their potential impact, and propose targeted improvements to strengthen regulatory compliance.
  • Training & Awareness: Review and evaluate and refine compliance training programs to ensure they reflect the latest regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical standards. Ensure that training is consistently updated to maintain its effectiveness across the organization.
  • Reporting & Communication: Provide clear, data-driven reporting to senior leadership, highlighting key compliance trends, risks, and program effectiveness.
  • Adaptability & Leadership: Stay ahead of regulatory changes, evolving compliance priorities, and emerging risks, taking on additional responsibilities as needed.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree with 5+ years in compliance, regulatory, or risk management.
  • Strong understanding of operational processes and the impact of regulatory changes on compliance programs.
  • Experience with compliance control architecture and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Proven ability to lead by influence and collaborate across functions and departments.
  • Skilled in performing risk assessments, identifying risks, and designing effective controls.
  • Exceptional organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in fast-paced environments.
  • Effective communicator with expertise in presenting complex data and strategies to senior leadership.
  • Proficient in audit, controls, change management, business analysis, project management, and vendor management.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)
  • Working knowledge of regulations such as FCRA and GLBA.
