PURPOSE AND SCOPE

This Summer internship program is designed to provide those with an interest in becoming a successful Tax Professional an opportunity to grow and develop skills essential to the trade. This internship program will support the Tax Manager(s), and consist of compliance work, financial data analysis, and tax risk mitigation projects for Rite-Hite and family office entities including corporate, partnership, trust, and personal tax entities. Projects will consist of tax filings, tax data management, and other special tax projects, and will provide excellent experience and learning opportunities. The position will provide a fun and challenging atmosphere and incorporate financial software exposure, as well as provide interns with opportunities to interact with various finance function leaders. We are looking for high-achieving, business-minded students that have a solid accounting foundation and introductory exposure to tax concepts and processes.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Be a contributing member of the Tax Department and working on a set of assigned projects that focus on growing tax technical skills and business acumen.

  • Utilize learned accounting principles and introductory tax skills to support the Tax Manager, with an emphasis on learning and engaging with software platforms utilized by the Tax Department and larger finance function.

  • Show a willingness to ask questions, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and actively communicate project status and results with the tax department and other finance leaders when applicable.

  • Own the day-to-day progress and completion of work projects with a persistent dedication to detail and organization, a passion for continuous learning, and an eagerness to understand intermediate and complex tax concepts.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Current undergraduate/graduate student with target graduation date: Dec. 2025-May 2026.

  • Target majors: Finance or Accounting (with some required Tax Courses completed).

  • Overall GPA greater than or equal to 3.0/4.0.

  • Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Demonstrated exposure to tax concepts and accounting principles.

  • Able to work for a minimum of 10-12 weeks during the spring and/or summer of 2025.

  • Willing and able to work in a hybrid setting.

  • Ability to utilize time management skills to coordinate several projects simultaneously.

  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this job opening.
