Position Summary

The Project Manager for Parking
& Transportation Services (PATS) will be responsible for
developing and implementing innovative revenue-generating strategies to support
the department's financial sustainability. As a self-generating entity within the university, PATS
relies on strategic planning and creative solutions to optimize revenue streams
while maintaining efficient, customer-focused operations.

This role will spearhead initiatives to enhance existing services, explore
new revenue opportunities, and collaborate with internal and external
stakeholders to identify potential partnerships, grants, and sponsorships. The Manager will analyze financial trends, assess market demands, and recommend
pricing structures, operational efficiencies, and service enhancements to
maximize revenue potential.

Key
Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and implement new revenue-generating
    initiatives, such as premium parking options, event parking packages,
    advertising partnerships, and mobility service enhancements (e.g.,
    electric vehicle charging stations or rideshare collaborations).
  • Optimize existing revenue streams through pricing
    strategy adjustments, operational efficiencies, and enhanced enforcement
    strategies to improve compliance and maximize income.
  • Explore public-private partnerships, sponsorships,
    grants, and vendor collaborations to create new funding opportunities.
  • Conduct market research and financial analysis to
    assess trends, customer demand, and competitive benchmarks, ensuring
    informed decision-making.
  • Develop and present business proposals, financial
    models, and impact assessments to leadership.
    Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to
    promote revenue-driven services and enhance customer engagement.
  • Work with university departments, student
    organizations, and external businesses to identify mutually beneficial
    opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate the success of revenue
    initiatives, making data-driven recommendations for continuous
    improvement.

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, a
proactive approach to problem-solving, and experience in revenue generation,
business development, or financial planning. Experience in
parking, transportation, or university operations is a plus.

Conditions of Employment
  • Employees who provide services or work in patient care or clinical areas are required to be in compliance with the University's influenza vaccination requirement.


Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree; at least 2 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.

Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.



Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Finance, Marketing, Public Administration, Transportation Management, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess financial trends, market demands, and operational efficiencies.
  • Experience conducting financial and operational analyses, developing business proposals, and presenting data-driven recommendations.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and data analysis tools.
  • Experience and/or knowledge of University Parking & Transportation Services
