Sanitation Supervisor

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:










      • o Manage and coordinate the Master Sanitation schedule to assure compliance.

        o Specifically, responsible for plant sanitation processes, ensuring that all sanitation procedures are executed according to set guidelines.

        o Ensure the highest standards of quality, product safety and employee safety are maintained at all times in the facility.

        o Work closely with maintenance/waste water departments and our Sanitation Rep. on ensuring all equipment and programs related to Sanitation are being optimized.

        o Coordinate the Sanitation function for the bulk, loaf and slice line, and other areas assigned.

        o Conduct equipment inspection for cleanliness after sanitation process has been completed.

        o Monitor and maintain optimal amounts of cleaning chemicals and cleaning PPE.

        o Attend production and sanitation meetings as required to meet overall business goals.

        o Collaborate with Human Resources and the Production Manager for appropiate staffing levels.

        o Train and coach production and sanitation employees on the sanitation process.

        o Conduct probationary employee performance reviews

        o Responsible for shift schedule to include: work area assignments, employee vacations, employee breaks, and overtime assignments.

        o Coordinate production startups, shutdowns, changeovers, and experimental runs.

        o Coordinate with Payroll department on any necessary changes to employee schedules or timecard.

        o Maintain the facility in an audit ready state for customers or regulatory agencies.

        o Ensure CIP and post sanitation documentation is completed.

        o Other duties as assigned.

        Required Qualifications

        o Must have at least 5 years of food manufacturing experience including sanitation experience in a supervisory or leadership capacity and must possess general knowledge of manufacturing processes.

        o Ability to interact with integrity and a high level of professionalism with all levels of employees and management.

        o Ability to assess issues, make quick decisions, implement solutions, and influence change.

        o Strong project management skills.

        o Professional presentation skills.

        o Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

        o Experience in Food Processing Industry. Natural and Processed cheese manufacturing experience is highly desired.

        o Bachelor's Degree in Business or Operations Management desired.

        Working Conditions:

        o Office in a food manufacturing environment, some office setting.

        o Extended periods of sitting, standing and typing on a computer is required.

        o Light lifting may be required, up to 50 pounds.

        o Willing to travel about 10% of the time.

        o Willing to work evenings and weekends as business needs require.
