Position Summary The Food Service Manager is responsible for planning, preparing and/or directing the preparation of food to be served, complying with all applicable sanitation, health and personal hygiene standards and following established food production programs and procedures. The Food Service Manager is responsible for appropriate use of facility supplies and equipment to minimize loss, waste and fraud. Responsible for all food service duties including food and supply ordering and mass food preparation for daily consumption and special events. Essential Functions
PAY RATE: $24.00-$26.00/hr. Working Conditions The employee is required to sit, stand, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing 50 pounds or less. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures. This job operates in a kitchen environment, housed with equipment such as an oven, stove, dishwasher, slicer, coffee machine, steamer, mixer and chef's knives. The employee is frequently exposed to heat, steam, fire and noise. Minimum Qualifications
Skills, Knowledge & Abilities
Experience
Must have work experience in kitchen/food service, (knife skills, health, sanitary regulations, cooking skills and working with large equipment). (preferred)
Microsoft Office applications and excel a plus. (preferred) Must be TB cleared & CPR and First Aid Certificate upon hire date (required) Preferred Culinary Arts degree and/or 2 years of food handling experience.
