Job Description:

Job Summary

  • The Digital Optimization Consultant is responsible for performing quantitative analysis to generate insights that key stakeholders can understand and that improve the effectiveness of Southwest's digital channels. This person translates insights into recommended opportunities and actions, presents findings to leaders, and provides ad hoc analytics support where needed including on business case development, digital product enhancement prioritization, performance troubleshooting and forecasting.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct analysis of Customer behaviors and digital platform performance to identify digital optimization opportunities
  • Develop dashboards, align stakeholders on KPIs, and serve as a key point of contact for questions regarding site and app performance metrics
  • Support Digital product owners on digital roadmap prioritization and strategic decisions
  • Collaborate and consult with digital product leads on performance data and insights to support business case development for new products and enhancements
  • Evaluate and reconcile information gathered from multiple data sources to establish a comprehensive understanding of performance
  • Factor in operational performance, business processes, customer insights, and/or future needs to identify key challenges, diagnose root causes, and surface performance improvement opportunities
  • Stay current on evolving business needs, industry trends and tools, and advancements in the field of digital Marketing, and advocate for improvements to analytics capabilities
  • May perform other job duties as directed by Employee's Leaders
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Advanced knowledge of collecting, organizing, and interpreting data, including turning data into meaningful insights using data visualization techniques
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more web analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics, Google Analytics, IBM Coremetrics, Kissmetrics, Webtrends, or other similar reporting platforms
  • Skilled in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V/H Lookups, charts, organizing data, conditional formatting, etc.) and Power Point (building, formatting, presenting, etc.)
  • Skilled in strategic thinking and the ability to drive process improvement and see the big picture
  • Skilled in mathematics, analytics, and problem-solving
  • Ability to communicate effectively by listening intently, questioning appropriately, and articulating clearly in both written and verbal formats
  • Ability to prioritize effectively, proactively communicate project status, and meet promised timelines
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal business owners and other leaders and teams in order to influence business decisions
  • Ability to demonstrate emotional intelligence in working with peers and internal customers
  • Ability and interest in mentoring and training fellow employees in digital reporting tools and platforms
Education
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED
Experience
  • Advanced level experience, seasoned and specialized knowledge in:
    • Digital analytics tools, reporting and analysis platforms
    • Marketing or business performance reporting
    • Digital optimization, A/B testing methodologies, or Digital product development
    • Data visualization tools and techniques
    • Presenting data-driven insights and product/campaign performance to business owners

Physical Abilities
  • Ability to perform work duties from [limited space work station/desk/office area] for extended periods of time
  • Ability to communicate and interact with others in the English language to meet the demands of the job
  • Ability to use a computer and other office productivity tools with sufficient speed and accuracy to meet the demands of the job
Other Qualifications
  • Must maintain a well-groomed appearance per Company appearance standards as described in established guidelines
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
  • Must be able to comply with Company attendance standards as described in established guidelines

Pay & Benefits:

Competitive market salary from $100,700 - $111,900 per year* depending on qualifications and experience. For eligible Leadership and individual contributor roles, additional bonus opportunities are available and awarded at the discretion of the company.
