Duties & Responsibilities

To ensure that all Rope Access activities are carried out safely and efficiently in accordance with company and statuary regulations .

Functions: RA

* Seek to continually improve existing safe systems and methods of work.

* Maintain contact with existing and potential customers and establish close working relationships, to promote the company's interests.

* Maintain Rope Access equipment ensuring certification is kept up to date. Ensure all equipment returned to the store is cleaned with stores manifest updated.

* Ensure all relevant paper work provided in the Rope Access work pack is completed (in full) and returned to Operations at the conclusion of work assignment/project.

* Finalise and submit all Equipment Examination Reports, Progress Report documentation, Method Statements, Rescue Plans, Toolbox Talks, and Rope Access working hours to the Rope Access Manager at the end of their rotation (or earlier, as required.

* When working an "on-going" project or contract works, ensure equipment is left in a clean and tidy condition for the oncoming Rope Access Technicians (Level 3). All the equipment will be manifested and all relevant paper work completed.

* Oversee, supervise and control the overall safety of all Rope Access technicians within their team. Act as company representative whilst undertaking work on a client's work site.

* Ensuring that all work at height is undertaken in accordance to this procedure, all relevant industrial guidance and project specific requirements.

* Ensuring that all equipment is suitably stored and maintained at the worksite

* Ensuring that all items of PPE are in a safe and serviceable condition at the work site.

* Administering basic first aid to team members at the work location (If required), ensuring that their first aid certification is valid.

* Attend client meetings during the task planning or pre-mobilisation period.

* Ensure quality standards are maintained so that quality of service meets the necessary standards.

* Undertake risk assessments and completion of work permits. Conduct toolbox talks prior to commencement of Rope Access activities.

* Completing rope logs and documenting weekly kit checks

* Ensure existing and potential clients are kept well informed of advancements to Oceaneering Rope Access services.

* Undertake any other duties as required,

* Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.

Functions: Inspection

* Develop Written Schemes of Examination as part of inspection preparations

* Complete First Pass examinations of equipment to accurately identify preparation for inspection and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) requirements

* Plan and carry out Inspection of plant and pipework in compliance with the client request and client work scopes

* Inspection of all process pressure systems, inspection of all storage tanks, inspection of steam generating plant, decommissioned/out of service equipment and inspection of steel structures in compliance with Oceaneering and client procedures

* Raise Repair Orders/Corrective Work Orders when required, providing a detailed description of the defect and location together with relevant up-to-date documentation and photographic evidence

* Carry out Repair Order close out inspections when required

* Issue an interim report of examination stating the suitability for further service. Complete the inspection report including recommended or required actions, next period of service between inspections in line with current RBI recommendations or client recommended intervals, within 28 days of the inspection. Modify the Written Scheme based on inspection findings.

* Carry out NDT Inspection on plant & equipment across all certified methods as required.

* Inform the Senior Inspection Engineer, without delay, when any inspected equipment or NDE results indicate the item is not Fit-for-Service

* Review and endorse NDT reports in a timely manner and instigate Inspection Queries as required

Qualifications

REQUIRED

* Minimum 4 years' experience in a Rope Access environment within the Oil and Gas Industry

* Current IRATA Level 1 or 2 qualification with demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of rope Access disciplines.

* Current First Aid certificate

* Degree / Diploma in Engineering related discipline

* AICIP Inspector Certificate OR API 510 Pressure Vessel Inspector

* NDT Level II in UT and any other discipline is desirable
